The Jaipur Pink Panthers ensure that U Mumba's winning streak doesn't go up to six with a clinical win in match 58 of PKL 10. The U Mumba defense had a complete off-day as they could garner only three tackle points throughout the match, and that proved to be their undoing.

In the raiding department, Guman Singh impressed, as he scored a first half Super 10. In the second half, substitutes Jai Bhagwan and Alireza scored some handy points, but it proved to be inadequate, with no support coming in from the defense.

For Jaipur, Arjun was in sublime form as he finished with 17 raid points, and he received good support from Ajith Kumar and Bhavani Rajput. Their defense came alive in the 2nd half, with Ankush getting a High 5, and Reza finishing with 4 tackle points for the night.

Alireza induces the error from Ankush to add to his raid point tally. With 34 seconds to play, Jaipur have only two men on the mat and if U Mumba can manage to get an all-out, they'll take a point from this game.

They appear to be aiming for the same as they play a high-line of defense to prevent Arjun from legitimizing the raid, but it proves unsuccessful.

A late raid point isn't enough to salvage something for them as the final whistle blows, with Jaipur winning rather convincingly, moving to 2nd place on the points table.

U Mumba sense some life in the match as Jaipur put in a couple of lazy tackles right at the end of the match, with Alireza sharp to profit off those errors. With 70 seconds left to play, the deficit is 11, and U Mumba need four points to get something from this match.

The first review of the match and it comes in the 38th minute as substitute Abhijeet Malik claims a touch on the U Mumba right corner, but it's unsuccessful.

U Mumba then follow up with a review of their own, with Alireza claiming a touch on Ankush. They do manage to overturn the decision, Review successful!

Whenever U Mumba score a few points, Jaipur simply aren't allowing them to string any together to build any sort of momentum. Ajith Kumar is quick to revive Arjun Deshwal before Ankush nails the execution of ankle hold on Jai Bhagwan to get to his High 5.

The Jaipur defense slowly add to their points tally, with Ankush and Reza both on four tackle points, as the former puts in an ankle hold to bring Alireza down. 

At the other end, the U Mumba defense finally manage to bring Arjun Deshwal down courtesy of a diving ankle hold from Sombir. Jai Bhagwan then carries the momentum forward with a neat escape from an attempted chain tackle to get two points for his side. They still trail by 13, however, and need to bring the deficit down to 7.

Jaipur aren't easing off here, and they're pushing for a third all-out in this match. Arjun Deshwal simply powers past Bittu's block attempt through the mid-line before Reza once again puts in a well-timed dash to send Guman Singh off the court.

We're finally seeing some tackle points in this contest, and most of them are going the way of Jaipur. It's Ankush's turn to add to his tally as he puts in a stellar ankle hold to stop Jai Bhagwan right in his tracks. He then attempts the same on a retreating Alireza and receives little support, though, and concedes the point this time around. 

The deficit remains intact, however.

Reza Mirbagheri appears to have found his form in the 2nd half as he executes a solid knee hold to bring Guman Singh down. The second time-out comes up right after U Mumba finally pick up another tackle point, with Surinder Singh putting in a block on Ajith Kumar in Jaipur's do-or-die raid.

With the deficit up to 14 points and a little under ten minutes left to play, it is an uphill task for U Mumba to make a comeback, and after a point, they may have to start thinking about playing for a point.

It looked like a matter of time before the next all-out came about, and Arjun's two-point raid only hastened the process. Reza finally times a dash to perfection to usher Jai Bhagwan off the mat to get the team's 2nd all-out of the night.

Both teams once again opt to play on the do-or-die raid, and it's the raider who wins the battle for both teams. Jai Bhagwan is subbed on for U Mumba and he does well to invite an advanced tackle from Sahul to escape with a point.

At the other end, though, Arjun continued to terrorize the U Mumba defense, putting in a two-point raid to reduce U Mumba to two men and maintain Jaipur's healthy lead.

Arjun does well to target Guman Singh and send him back to the bench with another quick burst of pace. Zafardanesh needs to step for U Mumba and he does so, escaping well from another mistimed dash from Reza Mirbagheri.

It's Guman Singh and U Mumba who draw first blood in the 2nd half. The left raider gets a swift running hand touch on the left-in to add to his tally. At the other end, though, Arjun Deshwal puts in a multi-point raid to get to his Super 10. He sits at the top of the raiding leaderboards and it's evident why. His pace is too much to handle for the U Mumba defense, and Jaipur lead's goes up to ten now.

U Mumba 13 - 22 Jaipur Pink Panthers

After a stellar defensive performance yesterday, this is a completely different showing from the U Mumba defense, who only have one tackle point to their name so far. Surinder Singh, Sombir, and Bittu all struggled, and have a total of 10 unsuccessful tackles between them, with Arjun Deshwal and Co. profiting from the same.

Arjun is one point away from a Super 10, but he has been outshined by Guman Singh from U Mumba. The left raider has hardly put a foot wrong all match and already got to his Super 10 in only nine raids. However, he needs more support from Zafardanesh, who has been quiet so far. The defense also needs to step up big-time, and it'll be interesting to see if we get some improvement in the 2nd half.

9 points isn't an unassailable lead in kabaddi and both teams will be well aware of that fact. Second half coming up, can the home side mount a comeback?

Arjun Deshwal escapes rather easily from Surinder Singh's block-dash in a do-or-die raid as the first half comes to an end.

The lead has hovered around the 8 or 9-point mark for Jaipur, and they've done well to retain it. For all of Guman Singh's best efforts, U Mumba's defense just hasn't been tight enough for them to mount any sustained pressure on their opponents.

Guman Singh is the one keeping U Mumba in the match, and he has already raced to his Super 10. At the other end, however, U Mumba continue leaking points in defense, however, with plenty of advanced tackles and errors coming in.

Both teams play on the Do-or-Die raid once again, and this time, it's Jaipur's that comes first in sequence. Ajith Kumar steps up and puts in a stellar Super Raid, wiping out the right side of defense with a quick escape. Guman Singh avoids capture in U Mumba's turn, with Lucky Sharma's attempted ankle hold a weak one.

First tackle point of the night comes immediately after the timeout for U Mumba, and it's Mahender who comes in clutch with a solid knee hold on Arjun Deshwal. Guman continues plundering the raid points at the other end, and is too quick for Reza's attempted dash.

It's been all Guman Singh for U Mumba, and he's keeping them in this game. He picks up his 5th raid point of the night with a toe touch on Reza. At the other end, though, U Mumba's defensive resilience is nowhere to be seen as Bhavani Rajput and Arjun Deshwal wreak havoc.

The whistle blows for the first time-out and it's Jaipur who hold an 8-point lead heading into it. Can U Mumba plug the gaping holes in their defense?

And just like that, we have the first all-out of the match and it goes the way of the Jaipur Pink Panthers. With just three men on the mat, Alireza is subbed on for the Do-or-die raid, but the youngster is tackled by Ankush in the left corner.

Arjun has no problem escaping from the two U Mumba defenders to effect the game's first all-out and help his side take an early 7-point lead.

The momentum in this game is swinging like a pendulum as Jaipur take the lead now courtesy of a two-point raid from Bhavani Rajput who expertly escapes from an attempted chain tackle from the right chain. Both teams put in empty raids to play on the Do-or-die raid.

Arjun is testing Sombir in the U Mumba left corner constantly with his quick change of direction and bursts of pace. The defender does well to stay away, but Arjun gets a bonus right under his nose. Reza Mirbagheri then just about manages to bring down a flying Guman Singh to level the scores for Jaipur.

Arjun Deshwal appears to be in fine form as he opens the Panthers' account with a running hand touch on Surinder Singh. At the other end, their defense, however, is yet to wake up as Guman Singh picks up a second multi-point raid, this time escaping from the left chain of Ankush and Ajith Kumar.

That is a terrific start to the match for U Mumba and Guman Singh. Reza and Sunil don't waste much time and come in with the chain tackle, but Guman finds a gap during the struggle and gets his hand past the finish line.

U Mumba have made a terrific start to the season and are currently on five successive wins, with the latest of them coming in front of their home fans. They come into this match on the back of a commanding 40-35 win over the Bengaluru Bulls yesterday, and the scoreline doesn't reflect how dominant they were, especially defensively. With Rinku missing out due to an injury, his replacement Bittu put in a terrific shift, scoring a High 5, with Mahender Singh also having a good game. Guman Singh and Zafardanesh also ticked along nicely, and it's safe to say U Mumba is a settled side ahead of this match.

The Jaipur Pink Panthers have won four out of their last five matches and is another side which is absolutely flying, form-wise. Arjun Deshwal is at the top of the raiding charts, and the in-form Reza Mirbagheri and left-corner Ankush have also been in great form. 

The winner of this clash will move straight to 2nd on the points table, and whenever these two teams go head-to-head, expect a thrilling encounter.
