2018 NBA Playoffs Conf. Semis: Pelicans Vs Warriors Game 1

Well, that ended quick. Warriors made light work of the Pelicans majorly because of their second quarter, where they outscored the Pelicans 41-21. Klay Thompson had 27, Kevin Durant had 26 but Draymond Green was the game's MVP with 16 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in 30 minutes.

Pelicans, riding their momentum from their first-round sweep, would have wanted to perform better than they did. Davis put up 21 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks but all not sufficient to even be competitive. Jrue Holiday had a miserable game with 11 points of 4-of-14 shooting, and Rondo had a near triple-double with 9 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds but again it was insignificant. The team as a whole, wasn't badly on 3's or field goals but they were -15 in the free-throw department.

Expect a stronger game from the Pelicans in Game 2, which is scheduled to be played on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning IST).

All garbage time now! Warriors lead by 26 with 6:45 to go. None of the Pelicans' big four have entered on the court and aren't expected to return.

Warriors close out the quarter well, further outscore the Pelicans 27-19 in the third period. Their huge lead now stands at 29!

KD FOR ANOTHER 3 but Moore has an insignificant buzzer-beater to end the third quarter.

After the high scoring 3rd quarter (only Pelicans didn't score 30+ in the second quarter), a very slow third quarter for both teams. Through 10 minutes, they've combined for just 28 points (15 for Warriors).
