And today, in all practicality, is the last day for the Indian Shooting Team in the 2021 ISSF World Cup Osijek, Croatia. In the remaining events, the federation NRAI hasn't sent the respective shooters. The Indian flag is at the 7th place in the overall medal tally with 4 medals (Gold - 1, Silver - 1, Bronze - 2). Onwards & upwards from here on to Tokyo!

Ah! Sanjeev Rajput and Tejaswini Sawant might be ruing their stars at the moment. They felt short on the number of inner tens (x) and have secured the 5th spot. A total of 3 teams (Hungary India, Austria) were equalled at 581 points. The Hungarian pair (29) had one more inner ten (x) than the Indian pair (28). Hence, the Hungarian pair took the 4th spot and will play the bronze medal match!

The qualification stage 2 of the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed event features 8 pairs. The Indian pair of Sanjeev Rajput and Tejaswini Sawant need to finish in the Top-4 to shoot the Medal Matches!

The two Indian pairs were tied at 873 points with another pair representing Ukraine! The pair of Sanjeev Rajput & Tejaswini Sawant had more number of inner tens (x) - 45. This helped them to promote to the next qualification stage!

It's mixed news coming from the Pampas shooting range in Osijek, Croatia - The venue for 50m events in the 2021 ISSF World Cup. The two Indian pairs have been separated by the border line! Veteran pair of Sanjeev Rajput & Tejaswini Sawant move ahead to qualification stage 2 while the young pair of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar & Anjum Moudgil miss out!

The qualification stage 1 for the Rifle 3 Positions Mixed team have begun. There are 24 pairs competing right now. The two Indian pairs need to be in the Top-8 to progress to the qualification stage 2!

In 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men event, the likes of Anish Bhanwala and Vijayveer Sidhu were unable to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. Hence, they haven't drafted in the squad for the 2021 ISSF World Cup in Osijek, Croatia.

In Rifle 3 Positions Women Team event, only two Indian shooters (Anjum Moudgil and Tejaswini Sawant) have been sent by the NRAI. This event mandates a team of 3 shooters. Hence, the duo are ineligible! However, they will pair up with Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Sanjeev Rajput respectively for the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed Team event later today!

There are 3 finals scheduled for today. From the Indian perspective, 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed Team event is only important and the rest in inconsequential. The reason behind it is the limited squad sent to participate in 2021 ISSF World Cup in Osijek, Croatia.
