Aizawl are all set to get their AFC Cup campaign underway, as they get set to face off against New Radiant SC of the Maldives, in the South Asian Group of the competition.
The Mizoram club had qualified for the AFC Champions Qualifiers after their I-League triumph last season. However, they lost out against Zob Ahan FC in the qualifiers, which eventually led them to the AFC Cup.
However, they have not been able to sustain their form from last season, having finished fifth on the I-League table after a mid-season change in their head coach.
With Santosh Kashyap at the helm of affairs now, the Mizo side looks to take on New Radiant FC in a group where they are expected to make the cut for the top two spots.
