The referee brings the first half to an end as we go into the break goal-less. Bengaluru FC never found their rhythm on the pitch and Transport United have looked the better and hungrier side so far.

44' - Prashant tries to break in from the right but comes up against a couple of stubborn defenders and passes back to Dovale, who puts the ball inside the box but nobody made the run.

39' - An inviting cross from the left for Transport and the striker just fails to reach it as the home side continue to play with more assertiveness.

35' - Bengaluru are trying to break through the centre but good resistance shown by the Transport defenders.

30' - A free-kick for the home side in a good position but the effort is an easy one for Ralte in the goal to handle.

15' - A long-range speculative attempt from Lenny Rodrigues but it is way too high to cause any trouble for the Transport keeper.

10' - Transport spread out the ball well onto the right and a cross comes into the box but Prashant does well to clear the danger.

9' - Transport make their first inroad into the Bengaluru box but the cross has no takers as Ralte comes out to collect with ease.

7' - A cross into the box from Nishu Kumar and Daniel heads it but it lacks the direction and goes out for a goal kick.

6' - Transport slowly starting to string together few passes as they aim to assert some control being the home side.

4' - Alwyn George goes on a great run down the right flank but comes up against two defenders who manage to get the better of him.

2' - BFC with patient passing in the initial exchanges and spread out the play well.

1' - And we're off in the picturesque stadium in Bhutan as Bengaluru play in their Blue and White kit whereas Transport United are in Red and White colors. Bengaluru will attack from left to right in the first half.

The teams are making their way onto the pitch as the AFC Anthem rings around the stadium and the crowd cheers the players on. Just minutes left for the kick-off now.

Venezuelan striker Miku, John Johnson, Edu Garcia and Braulio Nobrega were left out from the squad altogether given the AFC Cup regulations.

Bengaluru FC will be led by their keeper Lalthuammawia Ralte in the absence of Sunil Chhetri, who has been rested for the tie along with other big names like Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, defenders Harmanjot Singh Khabra and Rahul Bheke and winger Udanta Singh. Foreigners Erik Paartalu and Dimas Delgado also have stayed back in India as the Blues field a young squad against Transport United.

Welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of AFC Cup action as Bhutan's Transport United FC take on India's Bengaluru FC in the first leg of the AFC Cup Preliminary Qualifier in Thimphu, Bhutan.

Bengaluru FC will face Bhutanese football club Transport United FC in a two-legged AFC Cup South Asian Zone Preliminary Round Qualifier. The first leg will be held at the Changlimithan Stadium in Thimpu on Tuesday.

Bengaluru FC, who are also taking part in the fourth edition of Indian Super League are expected to field a side which will be without their regular stars. They will hope their young guns come to the fore and get them over the line.

Four players from the Bengaluru FC ‘B’ team along with a few experienced footballers in Lenny Rodrigues, Lalthuammawia Ralte, Toni Dovale and Alwyn George are there in the squad.

Transport United, the Bhutan National League champions went through the entire 2017 league season unbeaten. So they won’t be an easy nut to crack.

Bengaluru will also have to contend with playing in high altitude and temperatures drop to anywhere between 2 and 6 degrees in the evenings.
