Bengaluru FC will face Bhutanese football club Transport United FC in a two-legged AFC Cup South Asian Zone Preliminary Round Qualifier. The first leg will be held at the Changlimithan Stadium in Thimpu on Tuesday.

Bengaluru FC, who are also taking part in the fourth edition of Indian Super League are expected to field a side which will be without their regular stars. They will hope their young guns come to the fore and get them over the line.

Four players from the Bengaluru FC β€˜B’ team along with a few experienced footballers in Lenny Rodrigues, Lalthuammawia Ralte, Toni Dovale and Alwyn George are there in the squad.

Transport United, the Bhutan National League champions went through the entire 2017 league season unbeaten. So they won’t be an easy nut to crack.

Bengaluru will also have to contend with playing in high altitude and temperatures drop to anywhere between 2 and 6 degrees in the evenings.
