Good evening and welcome to the Sportskeeda liveblog of the All England Championships. India's PV Sindhu is seeded sixth and looks to carry her rich vein of form into the season's first Superseries Premier event.

Sindhu crashed out in the first round last year and would be upbeat to erase the memories of that setback. With the confidence she has shown since grabbing the silver medal at the Rio Olympics, she is primed for a deep run this time.

Her opponent, Mette Poulsen of Denmark is ranked 33rd but did beat Sindhu long back at the 2010 World Junior Championships. If the Indian can get a good start, she can notch up a win in straight games.
