Well then, as the top half of the table go into a shoot out and onto the finals, our two Indian athletes bow out rather disappointingly.

Angad Bajwa was in the hunt initially for the top 6, but on day 2, could not keep his composure enough to make that last hurdle. Mairaj Khan on the other hand, did not have a great outing over the two days, as he found himself luring in the bottom half of the table for most of the time.

A good effort from Indian duo, but they were just not good enough on the day. But all credits to them for making us proud on the biggest stage of them all. Surely, with improvements, they will be back, better and stronger!

On the other hand, the top 9 finishers battle it out for 6 spots, where the top three are confirmed. That leaves 3 spots up for grabs between 6 athletes. The shoot-off will be taking place momentarily and the finals will take place after the Women's skeet finals.

A lot of drama in that final phase of the final round, as Hancock lost his way down right from the top spot to being out of the top 6. Eetu made his mark and barged through the top three and clinched qualification. Whereas Jakub, much like Hancock fell through on the last station.

A new Qualifying Olympic Record was also made as Tammaro Cassandro and Eric Delauney miss only one shot and end up with 124/125. The finals promises to be an exhilarating one, where the slate is clean and the top 6 go neck to neck for the gold.

This is what the table look likes. Still a chance for many of the shooters to clinch the three available slots for the finals. Eetu Kallionen qualifies straight without a shoot off as he is the only one with 123 on the board. Cassandro goes up against Delauney to battle it out for the top spot. And the remaining six athletes who are tied at 122 go up against one another to have one final shot at qualification.

Jakub Tomecek misses yet another one, on his final station, and he too, much like Hancock will be out of the top 6.

Mairaj Khan gets his last two shots right as he concludes his round. A valiant effort surely, but just not good enough this time.

Vincent Hancock misses his third shot on the final chance and crashes out! He slides down the the 9th position and it doesn't look like he will qualify.

Jakub Tomecek misses now, on his 18th shot of the final round! Nervous nervous moments these! Advantage Hancock, as he moves above Jakub now.

Eetu Kallionien misses! He's the first one to miss in the final stages. But he's still in the top six, slides just below Hancock for now.

From the top contenders to make it into the finals, Jakub, Eetu and Vincent remain. All others have their yes focused on these three. The pressure must be immense right now for these three. One miss and it could be all over for them.

VINCENT HANCOCK MISSES! The American misses his second shot on station 4. After a brilliant qualification display, he does succumb under pressure. Slides down to the fourth place, but still well in contention to qualify.

Jesper Hansen meanwhile, finishes his final round with a perfect 25 and overtakes Pacheco to clinch the final spot for now. If things stay this way, he could edge through to the finals!

MAIRAJ KHAN MISSES! The Indian shooter fails to finish his campaign on a positive note. He misses the first shot from station 2.

Jakub Tomecek and Eetu Kallioinen also start Round 5 with three shots each on target. They will surely not want to miss any of the shots in the final qualification round.

We're all set to witness Mairaj Ahmad Khan for one last time in the Men's Skeet qualification round. He starts with three shots on target.

Abdullah Al Rashidi misses once and slips to 9th rank. Doesn't look like he could get back into the Top 6. With that, it should be all over for the Kuwaiti shooter as a couple of mistakes in the final round sees him fall behind in the race.

Bajwa misses his 16th shot and that should be officially over for him. No chance for a qualification as his score won't be good enough, even if the other miss.

Erik Watndal, Lee Jongjun and Georgious Achilleos all miss one each, which puts their qualification in jeopardy. Jesper Hansen though still to miss on his final round.

Abdullah Alrashidi meanwhile, is back on track, as he gets all 5 of his shots after his miss. He knows what's at stake here, and he'll want to hit every time. Another miss from him, and Pacheco will replace him in the top 6.

Angad Bajwa, the Indian, is yet to miss in the final round, as he is 15 in 15 so far. He'll want to finish on a high regardless of what happens.

Pacheco meanwhile has paraded back into the top, sitting on the sixth spot.

Erik Watndal, Georgios Achilleos, Jesper Hansen and Lee Jongjun are all in line from the 8th to the 11th spot respectively. All are relying on others to make a mistake so they can jump up.

Abdullah Al Rashidi misses the first shot from station 3 and slips to 7th rank. The Kuwaiti shooter will have to hit all shots on target if he wants to get back into the Top 6. Not the start to the final round he would have wanted. He'll be under more pressure now. Can he fight back up the ladder?

Abdullah Al Rashidi, Georgios Achilleos, Erik Wantdal, Jesepr Hansen and Jongjun Lee start round 5 with all three shots on target. They are in contention to get to the top 6.

Cassandro Tammaro, Eric Delaunay, Nikolaos Mavrommatis and Dimitris Konstantinou hit all targets in Round 5. Tammaro and Delaunay are strong contenders to make qualify for the final round. The other two players aren't in the Top 10 and will pray that the other shooters miss, which opens up chances for them to go through.

Argentine shooter Federico Gill missed the first shot from station 5 and has harmed his chances of getting through the qualification stage.

Several shooters are in contention for the Top 6!

Three more hits by Tammaro Cassandro and Eric Delaunay and they strengthen their position at the top. None of them are letting go and none of the two are making it easy for the others. Nerves of steel by the European duo here. Surely this will put some pressure on the American at top.

Peru's Nicolas Pacheco Espinosa misses! He slips to 8th rank and this miss could cost him as he could lose out on a spot in the Top 6. A very unfortunate time to miss out on a hit. He was making doing well to be within reach of the top 6 but this could harm his chances.

Eric Delauney also makes it nine in nine. A tough contest for the Top 6! All six-shooters from this set have hit all their 11 shots on target.
