Turkiye beat India 6 - 2 (57 - 53, 55 - 52, 54 - 55, 58 - 54)

The win in Set 3 turned out to be a false dawn as the Indian archers never really got going whereas their opponents Turkiye were on the money right from the start, registering a well-deserved and dominating 6 - 2 victory.

All was not good for India right from the first set, as the star of the Qualifying Round for India, Dhiraj Bommadevara, eked out a 7 off his first arrow. Tarundeep Rai also had a sub-par outing, hitting only one 10 off his eight arrows. Pravin Jadhav was easily India's best archer on the night, hitting four 10s, and having only one shot less than a 9.

However, only two of Turkiye's 24 shots in the match were less than a 9 and when contrasted with India's record, that stat alone tells the story of the match. A thoroughly professional performance from them sees them advance to the semi-finals, where they'll take on France or Italy.

As for India, both the Men's and Women's teams suffered disappointing defeats in the Quarter-Finals of their respective events. However, they still have their Individual events, and the Mixed Team event to look forward to, and they'll want to bounce back and deliver their best in those competitions.

India begin with a 28 with their first set of shots, with Pravin Jadhav scoring a 10. Turkiye respond with the exact same scores, and the two teams are tied at the end of the first rotation, although Turkiye's first shot could be upgraded from a 9 to a 10.

Tarundeep Rai hits a 9 with his 2nd shot, but Pravin Jadhav finds a 10! Back-to-back from him. Ohh, No! Dhiraj Bommadevara can only score a 7 with his final shot, and that puts India in a really vulnerable position.

Turkey needs only 26 off their final three arrows to secure a win, and they make no mistake, winning by 58-54 in the 4th set to seal a dominating victory in the quarter-finals.

It's crushing defeats in the quarter-finals of both the Women's and Men's Team events for the Indian archers.

Tarundeep Rai starts out better with a 9 this time around, but Pravin Jadhav hits an 8 with his arrow. Dhiraj Bommadevara shoots his 2nd 10 of this match, as India make their best start to a Set so far. However, Turkiye is simply not messing around, and two 10s and a 9 gives them the early lead once again.

Despite a 10 from Tarundeep Rai, Dhiraj and Pravin can only manage 9s, and India can manage only a 55. Ohh, Blunder from Berkim Tumer! He hits a 7, and despite a 10 from Mete Gazoz, India manage to edge past Turkiye with a 55-54 win in Set 3!

A 9 by the first archer is followed up with a 7 by the second and the final archer shoots a 10. Oh wait! The referee declares it as a 9. Türkiye reach only 55 and India win the set! It's still alive!

Ohh, not the best start once again for India, as Tarundeep Rai can only manage an 8 with his first shot. The Indian archers are clearly struggling to adjust to the wind as this is their first time playing in these conditions today. They can only manage a score of 25 with their first set of shots. Turkiye responds with three 9s, and India is two points down already.

Pravin Jadhav has easily been India's best archer today, and he finds the elusive 10 with his shot, but India can manage only 52 in Set 2. A 10 and two 9s for Turkiye means another convincing win for Turkiye in Set 2.

India with their back to the walls here and needs to pull off something special to make a comeback.

Disappointing start that for India as Dhiraj Bommadevara begins with a 7, undoing Pravin Jadhav's 10 in his first shot. Turkiye respond with two 10s and a 9, putting India under immense pressure immediately.

Despite a 10 from Dhiraj Bommadevara in his 2nd shot to finish the set out for India, a score of 53 was nowhere near enough to win the set as Turkiye exhibit stellar marksmanship, winning by a margin of four points.

India needs to hit back in the 2nd Set at any cost here!

India can't and won't afford to take Turkiye lightly, with World No.4 Mete Gazoz leading their ranks. Turkiye arrive at the quarter-finals after edging past Colombia in a thrilling 1/8 Elimination match, beating them 5-4, with 10s from Mete Gazoz and Berkim Tumer in the Shootout ensuring their place in the Quarter-Finals.

Dhiraj Bommadevara is the highest-ranked Indian Archer (World Rank 12), and he showed why, with a stellar display in the Ranking Round, finishing 4th overall. Tarundeep Rai (World Rank 31) also had a productive outing, with the 40-year-old finishing in 14th place.

Pravin Jadhav's (World Rank 114) form, however, is a concern for India, as he could only manage a 37th-place finish, but they'll be hoping he turns up on the big occasion.
