India could only manage 56 points while Russia capitalized on it and returned with 59 points. In the process, they overturned the deficit and sealed the match with a point lead.

Indian Women's Compound Team will face Russia Women's Compound Team in the Archery World Cup Compound Semifinal. The Archery World Cup is currently underway in Shanghai where Indian archers take on the rest of the world. The Indian Women Compound team advanced to the quarterfinal of the Archery World Cup when they defeated ninth seed Vietnam in the first round and Kazakhstan in the quarterfinal. The Indian Women Compound team consists of three archers- Jyothi Surekha Venna, Muskan Kirar, and Madhumita Kumari. The Indian Women Compound team defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 233 to 227. The Russia Women Compound team defeated fourth seeds United States of America in the previous round by a score of 233 to 231. The Russian team is made up of three archers- NATALIA AVDEEVA, VIKTORIA BALZHANOVA, and ALEXANDRA SAVENKOVA The Indian Women Compound team is currently seeded eighth in the competition and will look to progress to the finals as they face Russian Women's Compound team.
