And, the wait is finally over. Angel di Maria's single strike gives Lionel Messi, his first international title with Argentina as the La Albicilieste end their 28 year trophyless run to win the Copa America 2021! Brazil were the dominant side in the second half but the Argentine defence were managed to hold off the Selecao and secured a 1-0 victory. Argentina had their chances to extend their lead but fatigue and pressure crumbled Messi's and Rodrigo de Paul's chances in the fag end of the game.
