FULL TIME: Arsenal 3-2 Manchester City

The Gunners end pre-season with a win over Manchester City but at what cost? Sergio Aguero gave City the lead before Alex Iwobi found the equaliser just after half-time.

Arsenal then scored two goals in 12 minutes - first from Theo Walcott and another from Chuba Akpom before Kelechi Iheanacho scored at the other end.

The game ended on a sour note when Gabriel Paulista went down injured and the defender was in tears as he was stretchered off. With Per Mertesacker also out for a few months, a centre-back now becomes Arsene Wenger's biggest priority before they face Liverpool next Sunday in the first Premier League game of the season.

...

90+9'  Game over. Arsenal will be happy with the win, but the injury casts a shadow over it. Guardiola can't be happy with the display his team put on.

...

90+8'  Bielik comes on as Gabriel is carried off the field. Play resumes.

...

90+6'  Everybody looks on in concern as Gabriel is still receiving treatment on the field. This is terrible news for everybody at Arsenal, who already have issues with injured players.

...

90+3'  Iheanacho and Gabriel are both writhing on the ground after a clash. Gabriel looks like he's seriously hurt. He might have to be stretchered off.

...

90+2'  City are mounting attack after attack, but it just doesn't seem to be happening for them. Too little too late, perhaps.

...
...

87'  Goal for Iheanacho. A lovely ball in from Navas found its way straight to the striker's head, who calmly nodded it in. Could this be a dramatic finish?

...
...

85'  Goal for Chuba Akpom. Terrible defending by City. A poor pass gave away possession in their own box, and Akpom was never going to miss from there.

...
...
...

82'  There's been an interruption in play as a little boy somehow found his way onto the playing surface. He must be having the time of his life as the steward escorts him away.

...
...
...

78'  De Bruyne plays a sweet low pass across the box to find Toure in a decent amount of space, but Toure skies it.

...

77'  More changes. Mathieu Debuchy replaces Hector Bellerin, and Gibbs takes Monreal's place.

...
...

73'  Another goal for Arsenal. It's Theo Walcott this time. He dances past a couple of defenders, has a give and go with Sanchez and coolly places the ball in the bottom right corner.

...
...

71'  Manchester City have had a decent spell of possession, slowly trying to turn the screws on Arsenal.

...

69'  Alex Iwobi makes way for Joel Campbell.

...

69'  Yaya Toure and Iheanacho have entered the fray for Manchester City.

...
...

67'  Navas and Kevin De Bruyne come on for City, while Cazorla replaces Ramsey for the Gunners.

...

64'  Walcott takes a powerful shot on goal from the corner of the box, but Joe Hart is able to react quickly to keep it out.

...

63'  The game from both sides seems to be somewhat haphazard. There doesn't appear to be a clear game plan.

...

59'  Arsenal win a free kick in a threatening position. Within range of a direct shot. Sanchez hits a fierce shot over the wall and had Joe Hart beaten, but he was denied by the crossbar.

...

58'  Ramsey finds Sanchez with a good pass down the touchline. Sanchez tries to pick out Walcott in the box with his cross, but fails to do so.

...

55'  Aguero picks up a yellow card for a late lunge on Chambers.

...
...

50'  Goal for Arsenal! Theo Walcott gets the ball to Iwobi just outside the box. He cuts in and fires low past Joe Hart. The keeper got a hand to it, but it wasn't enough to keep it out.

...
...
...

47'  Changes at half time.Arsenal have brought on Elneny, Chambers and Walcott. Joe Hart has replaced Caballero between the sticks for City.

...

45'  We're back for the second half. The ref blows the whistle and Manchester City get the game underway from the centre.

...

45'  Half time. The ref brings an end to the first half without any added time. We go into the break with the Citizens leading by one goal, courtesy of Sergio Aguero. Both teams have had chances, but it is Arsenal who had the better ones. The Gunners seem to have more of the ball, but haven't been able to make anything of it yet. The game has been somewhat dull so far. It looks like the players are playing without any real fire and passion. Hopefully that changes in the second half.

...

43'  Arsenal had a chance on a good looking counter, but Bellerin gave the ball away to Clichy quite cheaply.

...

40'  Sterling finds Silva in the box, but the Spaniard is crowded out, and isn't able to do much with the ball.

...
...

36'  Foul on Iwobi by Sterling. Free kick from a decent position. Xhaka plays the ball in, but nobody is able to get to it as it harmlessly rolls out of play.

...

35'  Nolito goes down in the box and half-heartedly appeals for a penalty, but the ref isn't falling for it.

...

34'  Corner for City. Silva plays the short pass to Nolito, who is promptly dispossessed.

...

30'  Goal! Sergio Aguero calmly slots the ball in from inside the box from a well placed cross by Sterling.

...

29'  As of now it seems to be Arsenal who have the upper hand, but Manchester City are creating half-decent chances every few minutes.

...

27'  Nolito plays a ball across the Arsenal box and Zabaleta gets his foot at the end of it, but the shot goes wide.

...

26'  Free kick to Arsenal. Ramsey makes a truly pathetic attempt at putting the ball in the box, but it goes out for a goal kick instead.

...

24'  City corner. Silva whips it in and the ball falls to Delph, who takes a whack at goal, but there are too many bodies in the box. It was never going through.

...

22'  Chamberlain takes a shot at an open goal with Caballero way off his lone, but it was cleared by a defender.

...

20'  Aguero makes his way into the box, weaving past a couple of defenders. Bellerin manages to get in the way of the shot, and Cech collects the ball calmly.
