The Indians finish FIFTH AND SEVENTH IN WOMEN'S 5000m

She had been a former world indoor champion but had suffered a series of injuries. This was a golden comeback for the Bahraini athlete and she gets her first Asian Games gold!

India does not get a medal in women's 5000m

but what a performance by Befkadu! Absolutely extraordinary!

Bahrain's Befkadu is absolutely destroying the field in women's 5000m....nobody near her at all....around 800m distance between her and the rest of the field!

If you didn't know, there was a bit of drama regarding Annu Rani ahead of the Asian Games. She was initially dropped from the squad and was then reinstated.

Annu Rani is way below even her bronze medal winning mark that had achieved in Incheon 4 years ago!

She had produced 59.53 meters then
