India were in contention for a medal in seven events in athletics on day 12. After starting with a Bronze medal in both Discus Throw and Women's 1500m, Jinson Johnson took GOLD in the Men's 1500m, which was followed by the Indian women claiming GOLD in the 4x400m relay and the men ended the day with SILVER in the 4x400m.
