That's it from swimming from today. Khade has undoubtedly been the best Indian performer in swimming so far at this Asiad. Proving his class once again just like he has done before.

Khade already has a bronze medal in 50m butterfly that he won in 2006. But he could have added another one today. How unfortunate was he to lose by 1/100th of a second!

With 22.47 seconds, Khade finished just 0.01 seconds behind the 3rd placed Nakao. That was a MISS BY A WHISKER!!!!!

Hello and Welcome to Sportskeeda's coverage of the Asian Games! Next up is Swimming!

The eighteenth edition of the pan-Asian games come to us from Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang, where over five hundred and fifty Indian sportspersons will try to win medals for the country.

Day Two of the Asian Games was action-packed as India won a few medals. There was also progress on other fronts.

Vinesh Phogat won the Gold medal in Women's wrestling, while Deepak Kumar and Lakshay won the Silver in Shooting. As a result, after Day Two, India has a total of Five medals in their account. There was progress elsewhere, as six out of seven Indian representations made it through to the next round in tennis.

Swimming action continues on Day Three of the games. So far, the swimmers have been somewhat promising but are still far away from that elusive medal.

India's Virdhawal Khade and Anshul Kothari will step up to the pool today, in the hopes of winning a medal in Men's 50m Freestyle event.
