The 2018 Asian Games are underway as a strong Indian contingent contest in over forty sports in Jakarta & Palembang.

The 4th day of the multi-sporting extravaganza was excellent for India. Rahi Sarnobat won another gold in shooting by bagging the top spot in the Women's 25m Pistol event. The shooter from Kolhapur has created history by becoming India's first female shooter to win Gold in an individual event at Asiad. India also bagged 4 medals in Wushu on Day 4, taking their total medal tally to 15.
 
Earlier on Day 5, Ankita Raina (WR 189) bagged a Bronze medal as she went down against Zhang Shuai (WR 34). She fought valiantly against the Chinese Number 1 but eventually lost 6-4, 7-6(6). Meanwhile, the Men's doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan made it to the Final of the event and are have ensured at least a Silver medal for India. There was progression in Badminton as well!

The incredible journey of the continual growth of Indian women's Kabaddi will see a new chapter unfurling at the Theatre Garuda in Indonesia when the Indian eves step onto the mat for their semifinal clash against the Chinese Taipei today, the 23rd of August 2018.

India, the defending champions, have managed to convincingly will all of their fixtures leading to the semi-finals including big wins such as the 43-12 win against Japan and the 54-22 win against hosts Indonesia. 

Their opponents from Group B, Chinese Taipei, have endured a mixed bag of results win two wins sandwiching a 16-20 loss against Korea. However, the morale-boosting 22-18 win against Iran could well hold them in good stead for a good show in the semifinals. 

The Indian eves will undoubtedly come into the contest with the favorite tags but can expect a stiff challenge from the Chinese Taipei. All in all, an exciting contest awaits!
