Good day for India in Rowing as none of the participating sportspersons get eliminated. All are moving either to the Final or the Repechage round.

Update: The remaining Rowing events, barring the Women's Lightweight Quadruples, will take place tomorrow

One more event left, which is Women's Lightweight Quadruples. However, there is no Indian present in this event.

India finish the race with a timing of 7:01.20, and move to the Repechage round.

India still in second as the Rowers touch the 1500m mark.

Back to the race, India lose their lead to China as the Rowers cross the 1000m mark. 3:19.48 the time.

Meanwhile, after the previous Heat, Indonesia has qualified, with Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, and Korea in the Repechage round.

Heat 2 for the Men's Lightweight Four is underway! India is competing against China and Vietnam!

Coming up next is Men's Lightweight Four, where India is in Heat 2 alongside Vietnam and China.

The standings are out and although the Indian pair is not moving straight to the final, they are still in with a chance as they move to the Repechage round.

There are two heats in this event, which means 3 pairs will get eliminated.

It is indeed confirmed that Gurinder Singh and Malkeet Singh have qualified for the Final.

It looks like this event is set to follow the path of Women's Double Sculls in qualifying straight for the finals as there are not enough participants for a second heat.

It is time for Men's Pairs in which India is being represented by Malkeet Singh and Gurinder Singh.

However, there might be a silver lining here as all six pairs qualify for the final due to the other heat being cancelled! Pooja and Sayali are moving on to the Final!

Disappointment for the Indian girls as they finish 6th in their Heat with a timing of 8:50.48.

Meanwhile, India's Dattu Baban Bhokanal has also just finished his heat. He finished 2nd in his heat and 4th overall. He will be moving on to the Repechage round.

They will now move on to the final, which will be contested on August 21!

Final standings in Men's Doubles Sculls Heats

The Heats have already been finished with India's Om Prakash and Swaran Singh finishing first in their heat!

Three rowing events will feature Indians in the mix. The first one is Men's Doubles Sculls.

The Asian Games are finally underway, as the Indian athletes look to better their record on the continental level, after a successful outing at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, earlier this year.

Rowing is one of the few sports where India had shown some promise during the Olympics in 2016. Now, at the Asian Games, the Indian rowers will be looking to put in their best performances, in order to get the better of their opponents and win a medal for their country.

India's best hope in rowing, of course, is Dattu Boban Bhokanal, who has shown a lot of promise over the years. Apart from him, the likes of Om PRakash and Swaran Singh are also set to take part in the doubles sculls, where they will face stiff competiton from the likes of Chinese Taipei, Japan, Uzbekistan and Iran.
