India, which has 17 medals to it's tally in sailing in all of ASIAD history looks in good shape to lay their hands on a few more!

The Indian sailors have done fairly well today!

Here's a quick sum-up of the Race 5 in various categories:

49er FX Women- Varsha Gautham/ Sweta Shervegar finish 3rd

49er Men- Thakker/Chengappa finish 3rd

Mixed RS One- The Indian duo are in the 4th slot

The Race 4 of Laser Radial has also come to an end.

In Mixed RS One, the results have come in!

The men and women 49er's will head to Race 5 now!

India stands at the second position in Race 4!

Meanwhile in 49er Men, India has stood second in Race 4!

The Indian duo have placed third in the 49er FX Women!

In 49er FX Women, we had the duo of Varsha Gautham/Sweta Shervegar participating!

The results are finally streaming in!

Let's do a quick sum up of Race 3:

Event:

Laser Radial- TBD

Open Laser 4.7- Harshita Tomar takes 3rd rank, Govind Bairagi takes 10th slot

Mixed RS One- India at 7th rank

Men's 49er- India at 2nd rank

Women's 49er FX- India at 3rd rank

In 49er Men, we had Varun Thakkar/Ganapathy Chengappa and they ranked 2nd in Race 3.

The duo are now competing in the next race which is RACE 4!

Harshita Tomar and Govind Bairagi place 3rd and 10th in Race 3 of Open Laser 4.7!

All the Race 4 matches are being held now!

On the other hand, Varun Thakkar/Ganapathy Chengappa is out there in Race 4 of 49er Men!

In Mixed RS One, Indians are sailing through swiftly in Race 4!

Nethra Kumanan too is out in the waters trying out her luck in Race 4 of Laser Radial!

Govind Bairagi, Harshita Tomar is out now sailing in the Open Laser 4.7 Race 4!

Trivia: By changing the rigging, rudder and dagger or center board, a sailor manages the force of the wind on the sails in order to change the direction and speed.

The Indonesia National Sailing Centre will play host to the event!

Let's cast our eyes on the horizon as the Indians get ready to set forth their sails!

All the Race 3 events for Men's 49er, 49er FX Women, Laser Radial, Open Laser 4.7 and Mixed RS One will take place TODAY!

We have an exciting line up with a handful of Indians setting sail aiming for victory!

So far we had a look at how Race 2 turned out for the Indians at the Games in Sailing

In Open Laser 4.7, we have Harshita Tomar and Govind Bairagi!

There are so many more races coming up and the Indians seem to be sailing through nicely!

In Race 2 of Mixed RS One category, Indians had placed 7th

Nethra had ranked 6th in Laser Radial in Race 2!

Yet again the Indians perform very well!

In the 49er Men event, India looks in a very good shape!

Varun Thakkar/Ganapathy Chengappa will be in action in 49er Men, Races 3, 4 & 5 very soon!

Day 6 was the best day for India in terms of the medals won, with a total of 7 coming home! India's team of Sawarn Singh, Daatu Bhokanal, Daatu Bhokanal, and Sukhmeet Singh won GOLD Men's Quadruple Sculls. Dushyant also bagged a Bronze medal for India in Rowing -- Men's Lightweight Single Sculls. Another Bronze came as Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh finished third in the Final of Men's Lightweight Double Sculls. India’s Shooting sensation Heena Sidhu finished third in Women's 10m Air Pistol to bag Bronze!

India’s Tennis Men's Doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan grabbed the GOLD medal after defeating Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik & Denis Yevseyev 6-3, 6-4 in the Final. Meanwhile, Prajnesh Gunneswaran's loss in the Men's Singles Semis meant that the ace Indian player would have to settle for a Bronze medal. There was another huge upset in Kabaddi as the Indian Women's team lost to Iran in the final, and bagged the silver medal.

With these medals India’s tally stands at 25, which now includes 6 GOLDS, 5 SILVERS, and 14 BRONZE.

There is a lot of Sailing action on Day 7 and it will also see a lot of Indian participation.
