Action continues on Day 6 of the multi-sporting extravaganza -- The 2018 Asian Games.

Here, we will keep you up to date with all the squash action of the day! Today, top squash stars like Saurav Ghosal, Pipika Pallikal, Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu, and Joshna Chinappa are the Indians who will be playing in the quarterfinal stage.

Day five ended more with a whimper, rather than a bang. On what was a disappointing day for India, several participants lost their matches in the final stages. Ankita Raina (WR 189) bagged a Bronze medal as she went down against Zhang Shuai (WR 34). She fought valiantly against the Chinese Number eventually lost 6-4, 7-6(6). Meanwhile, the Men's doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan made it to the Final of the event and are have ensured at least a Silver medal for India.

Meanwhile, India's 15-year-old shooter Shardul Vihan also bagged a Silver in the  Men's Double Trap Final and took the total tally to 17. There was also progression in other racquet sports, as badminton squash, and indeed Tennis saw Indian athletes advance. However, India's loss to Iran in the Men's Kabaddi Semifinal was completely unprecedented and historic in a wrong sense for India! There were also losses in Archery and Weightlifting.
