The sport has shown major improvements. It has got two medals at the Asian Games for the first time. To get a medal in a field that is loaded with Asian table tennis giants is a commendable effort.

Here's hoping the sport's growth curve remains on the upward trajectory after some impressive displays at the Commonwealth Games, the World Championship and now the Asian Games.

We also hope that table tennis manages to fetch more medals four years later at the next Asian Games.
