Taekwondo is one of the lesser known sports in India, i.e, its reach is not as wide as Badminton or Table Tennis. However, that doesn't mean that there are no participants in this martial arts discipline.
August 19 will see Indian Women's team take part in Taekwondo. The trio of Anamika Walia, Mamta Kumari Shah, and Shipa Thapa will gear up to face Thailand.
The Thai team is made up of Kotchawan Chomchuen, Phenkanya Phaisankiattikun, and Ornawee Sirisahakit.
The two teams will compete against each other in what is a Round of 16 match. The latter rounds of this category will also take place on the same day, i.e, today.
