Asian Games 2018: Shooting Day 5 Live Score - Shardul Vihan wins Silver in Men's Double Trap

Of the four shooters who started the day, three were in contention for a medal. But only one won a medal. And that was 15-year-old Shardul Vihan who took home silver in the Men's Double Trap. Although Shreyasi Singh and Varsha Varman would have been disappointed to have fallen behind after a good start, it was another successful day in shooting thanks to Shardul.

Taking part in his first-ever Asian Games, Shardul claims Silver. What a performance it has been from the 15-year-old.

India's Shardul Vihan claims SILVER in the Men's Double Trap and South Korea's Hyunwoo Shin takes home GOLD.

India's 15-year-old Shardul Vihan is now two shots behind after 70 rounds.

South Korea lead by one going into the final round. If it finishes level, India will take home GOLD.

Qatar take home bronze. It is between India and South Korea for the GOLD.

India assured of at least Bronze but if the scores are level at the end of this round, Shardul will take home at least silver courtesy of his higher qualification.

No medal for China, Liu finishes fourth and he is eliminated with a score of 43.

India are now assured of a medal.

India and South Korea are both top with 37 after four rounds.

South Korea finishes fifth and are the second to be eliminated. India are still top.

UAE's Al Kaabi is the first to be eliminated.

After 3 rounds, India's Shardul Vihan and Korea's Hyunwoo Shin lead the way with 28. Two other countries, Qatar and China are tied for second with 27.

Shardul is no longer perfect but with 19 he is still top. But now he shares the lead with Korea's Shin. Currently last is UAE with 15.

Shardul Vihan shoots a perfect 10 out of 10 and is top after the first period.

15-year-old Shardul Vihan finished top in the qualification and will be looking to make it count.

The Men's Double Trap final is about to begin.

The top six who will feature in the Double Trap Finals

It is all over in the Men's Double Trap qualifications. 15-year-old Shardul finishes top and Ankur Mittal finishes 9th and fails to qualify.

In the women's double trap finals, Shreyasi Singh finishes sixth and Varsha Varman finished seventh.

At the end of 5 rounds, Li Qingnian leads with a 136, while Shreyasi and Varsha are sixth and seventh, 15 and 16 shots behind respectively.

Ankur Mittal finishes outside the top six and he is out.

And it is official, Shardul has qualified for the Double Trap Final.

This has been sensational from the 15-year-old Shardul. While Qualification for the Double Trap final is still on, Shardul is currently first with a total of 141 out of 150.

Shardul is still joint-top after 4 rounds. But Mittal is 8th yet crucially just one behind fifth place. He will need to get into the top 6 to qualify.

After three rounds, 15-year-old Shardul is joint-top with a score of 85. Ankur Mittal is tied for 5th with 81.

Good comeback from Shreyasi but time is running out for both her and Varsha as they look to be in contention for gold.

In the women's Double Trap final, Varsha is still fifth but Shreyasi slips to ninth.

Latest standings in the Men's Double Trap Qualification

And just like Shardul goes top in the men's double trap qualification. What a comeback this has been from the 15-year-old.

In the men's double trap, Vihan has moved up to second place while Ankur Mittal has dropped down a couple of spots to eighth.

Varsha Varman is now in fifth spot.

In the men's double trap qualification, Shardul Vihan is in third and Ankur Mittal is in sixth.

Just as I say that, Varsha Varman begins her ascent. She is now up four places and is now in sixth.

Things aren't looking good for India in the Women's Double Trap finals, Shreyasi Singh is in eighth and Varsha Varman is now in 10th.

Shardul Vihan is now in second spot only behind South Korea's Hyunwoo Shin.

Shreyasi Singh and Varsha Varman haven't got off to a great start so far in the Women's Double Trap Finals but they still have plenty of time to make things and make a push for a medal.

Shardul Vihan is slowly moving up and is now just one shot behind the leader in the Men's Double Trap Qualification.

In the mean time, the women's Double Trap Finals have begun as well. That features Varsha Varman and Shreyasi Singh as India's two hopes of a medal.
