Hello, and welcome to our coverage of the Australian Open men's doubles Round 1 match between Rohan Bpanna/Edouard Roger-Vasselin take on Ryan Harrison/ Vasek Pospisil
India’s Rohan Bopanna and Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France are all set to get their Australian Open men’s doubles campaign underway, as they take on Ryan Harrison of the United States and Vasek Pospisil of Canada.
Bopanna is set to spearhead the Indian challenge for a Grand Slam Trophy at the Australian Open this year, with Yuki Bhambri crashing out in the first round of the men’s singles draw with a straight-sets defeat against Marcos Baghdatis.
The other Indians left in the Australian Open are Leander Paes, Purav Raja and Divij Sharan.
Bopanna and Vasselin are set to face the hard-hitting duo of Harrison and Pospisil today but seem to have an edge as the US-Canadian duo have only partnered up recently. However, Harison’s French Open men’s doubles victory will still be fresh in the memory, and the American will be looking to smash his way past the Indo-French pair.
