Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the women's singles event of the Badminton Asia Championships. India's Saina Nehwal will take on World No. 101 Yeo Jia Min of Singapore.
The Indian shuttler has been in good form this year, having made it to the final of the Indonesia Masters. She also made it to the quarters at the India Open. However, the World No. 12 crashed out in the first round of the All England Open, tasting defeat at the hands of Tai Tzu Ying.
Most recently, she beat compatriot PV Sindhu and clinched gold at the Commonwealth Games. Today, she is expected to breeze past Jia Min but a sterner test awaits her in the coming rounds. In the quarters, she could potentially face World No. 6 Nozomi Okuhara. Stay tuned for all Live updates.
