The 38th edition of the Asia Badminton Championships is currently underway in China. The tournament, which is taking place at the Wuhan Sports Centre Gymnasium, will pay out a total prize money of 350,000 dollars and will award the participants with valuable points for their respective BWF rankings.
Third-seed PV Sindhu will take on China's Chen Xiaoxin in the second round match. The winner of this match will face either Sung J-H of Korea or B. Ongbumrungpan of Thailand in the quarterfinals. Sindhu is the favorite to win her bracket and will be looking to advance to the following rounds.
Sindhu defeated Chinese Taipei's Pai Y-p in the previous round with a score of 21-14, 21-19. On the other hand, Chen got the better of Vietnamese Nguyen by a score of 21-13, 21-9.
Both the shuttlers will be eager to move on to the next round. Sindhu will have to come up with a big performance to outclass Chen, who will have the home crowd on her side.
