Woww! That was some comeback from Manika Batra. The poster girl of Indian Table Tennis was put under pressure by the Thai paddler Suthasini but she held her nerve and clinched two Golden Points in that fifth match. The Bengaluru Smashers have clinch the Tie with an incredible 11-4 score line. They will be mighty proud of this effort and Jeet Chandra along with Manika Batra have been the stars of the show for Bengaluru.

Match 5, Game 3 : Suthasini Sawettabut 10-11 Manika Batra [Match Score : Suthasini 0-3 Manika ]

Manika bounced back to get two back to back points but Suthasini took the lead again. She put Batra under pressure but the Indian responded in style with a fast rolling backhand. She got a forehand flick to make it 7-7.

Suthasini made the opening and forced Manika to dodge to her smash which brought about the error. Manika Batra kept fighting back as she equalized to make it 9-9 heading into the final two points. Suthasini though was the first one to get to game point although Manika bounced back in style to make it a GOLDEN POINT.

She took the GOLDEN POINT to make it the second such instance in the MATCH and she prevailed with a clean sweep over her opponent. The third game ended 11-10 in her favor.

Match 5, Game 3 : Suthasini Sawettabut 5-3 Manika Batra

Batra was on the lead early on in the third game too and Suthasini was playing catch up from behind. She did respond well to a long backhand rally and clinched a point back. Suthasini equalized to make it a tough game for Manika and went into the lead. Eventually she went into the Time-Out with the lead.

Manika quickly accelerated her lead in the second half and she used a short side chop to make it 8-3 in her favor. Manika was too good for Suthasini this time and she went to clinch the game with a score line of 11-4

Match 5, Game 2 : Suthasini Sawettabut 2-5 Manika Batra

Batra opened her account with a couple of smashes to the side of the table. She quickly took the lead to three points to nil. Manika got to the Time-Out with a couple of impressive forehand smashes to take the lead.

Manika took the lead in the second half but Suthasini bounced back with a Tomahawk smash. The Indian star was too hot to handle though as she raced ahead in the game with a healthy lead. Suthasini forced Manika to hit one on the back of the net but she pulled through regardless. Batra got a backhand smash to the shorter corner of the table. Suthasini wasn't giving up though as she picked up four consecutive points to equalize.

Manika set up the game point but Suthasini came back from behind to take the game into Golden Point. Batra prevailed in the end with a terrific back hand and won the first game with 11-10

Batra took the first point but Suthasini bounced back well to make it to the lead. Manika pulled off the back hand punch to equalize. Suthasini lost her way as she gifted a few points to Manika. Batra beat her with a backhand smash to take the lead at the Time-Out.

It's time for Match 5 between Manika Batra and Suthasini Sawettabut! Manika will look to make the lead bigger for her side as they've won the Tie already.

Match 4, Game 3 : Snehit SFR 6-11 Jeet Chandra [ Match Score : Snehit 0-3 Jeet ]

Jeet began the second half in typical fashion with a couple of fast paced top hand smashes. Snehit came back into the contest but Chandra was too hot to handle as he mounted on the lead. He eventually got to the game point with a series of back hand smashes. Snehit was too intimidated and gave away the final point. Chandra completes a clean sweep for the Blasters to get them into a comprehensive lead in the Tie.

Match 4, Game 3 : Snehit SFR 4-5 Jeet Chandra

Jeet Chandra started from behind again but he pulls up as the game progresses. Snehit got a thundering smash past his opponents right side to go on the lead. Chandra came back from behind to get a couple of points and eventually forced an error from Snehit to go into the lead. He eventually headed into the Time-Out with a lead.

Match 4, Game 2 : Snehit SFR 9-11 Jeet Chandra [ Match Score : Snehit 0-2 Jeet ]

Jeet Chandra once again forced a few inside out smashes to equalize in the second half but Snehit went on the lead again. Jeet bounced back with a great serve and forced the error from Snehit to equalize. Chandra's aggressive demeanor was a delight to watch and he was absolutely pumped up. Snehit matched him stroke for stroke though and they were tied at 9 points apiece.

Chandra pulled of a stunning backhand smash at 85 kmph and went to the game point before clinching it in style with another superb smash. He wins the Match with one game to go.

Match 4, Game 2 : Snehit SFR 5-2 Jeet Chandra

Snehit picked up early points and forced the errors from Jeet Chandra with his pace but the latter kept fighting back. Snehit pulled off a fast smash to the corner of the table to take the lead at the Time-Out.

Match 4, Game 1 : Snehit SFR 8-11 Jeet Chandra [ Match Score : Snehit 0-1 Jeet ]

Jeet Chandra made a massive comeback with some heavy top spin smashes and he got into the lead in a dramatic turn of events. Chandra found a way to counter a fierce backhand rally from Snehit and he soon took a two point lead. He got to the Match Point with a short stroke forehand. Snehit pulled a couple of points back though to make it interesting but Chandra held his nerve to take the game in the end.

Match 4, Game 1 : Snehit SFR 5-1 Jeet Chandra

Snehit took the early lead and Jeet Chandra had no response to his fast forehand smashes. He quickly got to three points before Chandra got one point back but eventually Snehit went into the Time-Out with the lead.

Match 3, Game 3- Cho Seungmin / Nithyashree Mani 11-9 Amalraj Antony / Lily Zhang [ Match Score : Jaipur 3-0 Bengaluru ]

Zhang and Antony looked in much better shape earlier on in the third game but Seungmin brought Jaipur back into the game. Zhang helped Bengaluru to take the lead at the Time-Out with a back hand smash. The second half seemed more competitive with both sides chasing each other on points but Seungmin got his side in the lead eventually with a few backhanders. He eventually got Jaipur to the game point with a superb smash. It was an easy final rally and Jaipur took the third game 11-9 to make a clean sweep in the third game.

Match 3, Game 2- Cho Seungmin / Nithyashree Mani 11-9 Amalraj Antony / Lily Zhang [ Match Score : Jaipur 2-0 Bengaluru ]

Cho Seungmin used his back handers to great effect to take the early lead in the round. He put the Bengaluru duo under immense pressure and clinched the first half heading into the Time-Out with a 5-2 score. The dominance continued into the second half as the Jaipur pair quickly clinched three points before Bengaluru pulled a couple of points back. Mani forced the error from Antony as he got a forehand smash wrong. Seungmin got a big forehand smash to get to the game point and clinched the game with another brilliant backhand. Jaipur win the second game and with that take an unassailable lead in the Match.

Match 3, Game 1- Cho Seungmin / Nithyashree Mani 11-7 Amalraj Antony / Lily Zhang [ Match Score : Jaipur 1-0 Bengaluru ]

Amalraj and Lily Zhang showed excellent temperament to come back from behind in the first game and take the lead at the Time-Out. The dominance continued in the second half as well. Cho Seungmin showed his class and the South Korean pulled off a few back hand smashes to equalize. It was just the momentum that they needed as the Jaipur duo got to Game Point with a series of smashes and clinched the game 11-7.

It's time for the third game of the Tie and it will be the Mixed Doubles. It will be the pair of Amalraj Antony and Lily Zhang of Bengaluru Smashers taking on the pair of Cho Seungmin and Nithyashree Mani.

Match 2, Game 3 : Nithyashree Mani 6-11 Lily Zhang [ Match Score : Mani 0-3 Zhang ]

Zhang forced a couple of errors from Mani to pick up early points in the round. Mani tried the back hand but Zhang swatted away the smashes to gain the points. She won a long rally to get to the game point. The final rally was a delight to watch as Zhang pulled one off from under the table and outfoxed Mani.

Match 2, Game 3 : Nithyashree Mani 3-5 Lily Zhang

Nithyashree Mani took the first point in the third game but Zhang came back really quickly. Mani held her nerve to get those forehand smashes right but Zhang equalized quite quickly. The American finished things off really quickly to take the lead heading into the Time-Out.

Match 2, Game 2 : Nithyashree Mani 10-11 Lily Zhang [Match Score : Mani 0-2 Zhang ]

Lily Zhang equalized with a superb forehand smash which she swatted past Mani. She quickly took the lead post that to put Mani under pressure. The young Indian was up to the task too as she got a back hand smash to the corner of the table to make it 6 all. Nithyashree won a magical rally to get close to her game points. She forced the error from Zhang towards the smaller corner of the table to get to the Game Point. Zhang came back really well though to force a GOLDEN POINT. Mani was outdone with a backhand top spin which she slammed into the net and lost the game. Zhang prevailed in what was an incredible contest.

Mani shocked Zhang early in the second half with a few quick points and took the lead. She got to four points as Zhang was left to come back from behind. Mani clinched the longest rally of the half to go into the Time-Out with the lead.

Mani got a forehand wrong early on post the Time-Out as Zhang got into the lead. She pulled of a heck of a back hand to increase the lead. The serving from her was excellent too and it put Mani into trouble. She got to five game points and Lily Zhang clinched the game without dropping a sweat with a score line of 11-5

Match 2, Game 1 : Nithyashree Mani 3-5 Lily Zhang

Mani won a couple of rallies to get into the lead but Zhang equalized with a backhand smash. She got to the Time-Out with a slew of points and got her side, the Bengaluru Smashers in the lead early.

We're all set for the second Match now. Can the Patriots win this one and get into the lead in this Tie?

Match 1, Game 3 : Cho Seungmin 11-10 Alvaro Robles [Match Score : Seungmin 1-2 Robles ]

Seungmin won a couple of points initially with some long rallies which have been his strength but Robles wasn't far behind. He equalized at the 8 point mark leaving the game evenly poised. Seungmin forced Robles to the short side of the table with a superb backhand smash and he got to the game point with another back hander. Robles forced a GOLDEN POINT but Seungmin eventually won the game with an inside out forehand to the deep corner.

Match 1, Game 3 : Cho Seungmin 4-5 Alvaro Robles

Robles once again was on the lead and continued to dominate but Seungmin came back from behind to win the most astonishing rally in the Match. Robles forced his opponent to the short side of the table and got to the Time-Out with the lead for the first time.

Match 1, Game 2 : Cho Seungmin 7-11 Alvaro Robles [ Match Score : Seungmin 0-2 Robles ]

Alvaro Robles took the lead initially post the Time-Out with a smash that the 79 kmph. Much like the first game he was coming back from behind. He played the top spin with perfection and soon took the game away from Seungmin to take the match point. He finished it off in style to take the game with a score of 11-7. With one game remaining in the Match he the Spaniard has already won. Seungmin has tasted defeat in a match for the first time in the tournament.

Robles began the second game with a couple of points. He was on the charge as Seugmin looked to come back from behind. He did so with a long stroke from behind the table. Robles did pick up a point but Seungmin came back from behind again to clinch the first half with a superb long rally.

Alvaro Robles changed the pace of the game and forced his way back in the second half to equalize at six points. Cho Seungmin was struggling to get his rhythm right and Robles forced him to the corner of the table to take the lead. He set himself up for four game points with a backhand smash. He eventually shocked Seungmin with a intense rally and closed it out to take the game.

Seungmin begins aggressively and wins the first rally to pick up the opening points. He gets a shot with a side top spin and picks up another point. Robles pulled one back but Seungmin was too quick to get the third point and then followed with a lightening quick forehand to pick up his fourth point. He eventually took the decisive lead at the Time-Out.

Toss Update- Cho Seungmin wins the toss and decides that the Jaipur Patriots will serve. The Bengaluru Smashers will play from the right side of the Table.

The Jaipur Patriots are now making their way out into the middle followed by the Bengaluru Smashers. We are minutes away from the live action.

There are many young players in UTT season 5 and everyone are doing their best to achieve their goal. It has been great to see how they're preparing themselves. "
