Mitchell Santner, who took three wickets conceding 44 runs in his 7.1 overs, was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors followed by Tim Southee, who ended with figures of 2/22 in his four overs.

17:39 (IST)19 OCT 2017

New Zealand beat Board Presidents XI by 34 runs. Chasing a stiff total of 345, Karun Nair's 53 set the tone for the hosts before a middle order collapse made life difficult for the home team. Gurkeerat Mann kept the chase alive by scoring a 46-ball 65 before getting out. The tail contributed heavily to the team's total and made it look decent.

Jaydev Unadkat's 44 off 24 balls and Dhawal Kunarni's 30-ball 24 were not enough for Shreyas Iyer and co. to beat the Kiwis and win their second consecutive match as they were eventually dismissed for 130 with 17 balls to spare.

Jaydev Unadkat and Dhawal Kulkarni are showing some fight down the order but is it too late to make a comeback? They have already put on a 59-run partnership for the ninth wicket in no time with Unadkat batting on 44 off 22 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes. Kulkarni is giving him good support as he  is batting on 19.

While Gurkeerat is going all guns blazing in one end, wickets keep tumbling in the other. The right-hander is batting on 65 off 45 balls with seven fours and three sixes and he just lost his partner Karn Sharma, who was batting on 19 off 25 balls. There was a good partnership building and Southee breaks it by dismissing Karn.

Gurkeerat Mann is playing a good innings here. He is batting on 32 off 27 balls and has lost Shivam Chaudhary for 12. Someone needs to give Gurkeerat some company now if they want their team to show some fight.

15:46 (IST)19 OCT 2017

Oh, no. Just when Shreyas Iyer and Karun Nair are looking good at the crease, Colin Munro, yes, you read it right, struck twice in two balls to dismiss both these batsmen. Shreyas is out for a run-a-ball 24 while Karun departed after a well-made fifty. With these two wickets, New Zealanders have dashed all hopes of a BP XI win. Or, do we have something surprising coming up? Let's see what Gurkkeerat Mann and Milind Kumar does.

BP XI 123/4 after 22 overs (Gurkeerat Mann 1*, Milind Kumar 1*)

15:14 (IST)19 OCT 2017

Karun Nair looks steady right now and is joined at the crease by captain Shreyas Iyer, who has been in terrific form off late. The two batsmen will look to put up a big partnership for the third wicket and attack the Kiwi bowlers as well in order to increase the run-rate.

15:07 (IST)19 OCT 2017

14:51 (IST)19 OCT 2017

Just when the two openers got themselves set at the crease, Mitchell Santner got the breakthrough by dismissing Prithvi Shaw. However, Karun Nair has begun to attack the opposition bowlers and up the run-rate. He is joined by Rishabh Pant who will be itching to make a mark for himself and send a message to the selectors.

14:49 (IST)19 OCT 2017

End of 10 overs: BPXI 51-1 Karun Nair 22(21), Rishabh Pant 0(1)

14:26 (IST)19 OCT 2017

BPXI have begun slowly scoring only 17 runs in the first five overs of the innings. Prithvi Shaw is batting on 10 while Karun Nair is batting on 5.

14:09 (IST)19 OCT 2017

BPXI begin their chase with Karun Nair and Prithvi Shaw opening the batting

13:37 (IST)19 OCT 2017

Mitchell Santner's late blitz helped the Kiwis put up a massive total of 343 in 50 overs. Ross Taylor and Tom Latham scored magnificent centuries and took the attack to the opposition bowlers.

Meanwhile, Jaydev Unadkat picked up a few late wickets and ended up with four wickets to his name. Karn Sharma ended with just the two.

It will be a huge task for the BPXI batsmen to pull off the chase. With the absence of KL Rahul in the batting line-up, it will be even harder for them. Rishabh Pant, who failed to get going in the first match, will look to go all guns blazing and pull off an upset.

Stay tuned for the second innings and BPXI's chase.

12:04 (IST)19 OCT 2017

Taylor and Latham have steadied the ship and crossed the 100 run partnership for the 4th wicket as well. The fast bowlers have not been having a great day as all of them have conceded a lot of runs so far. The Blackcaps look well on their way to a 300+ score and achieve their first win of the tour.

Karn Sharma is now back into the attack as he looks to pick up his third wicket.

At the end of 30 overs- New Zealand 181/3 Ross Taylor 75(60) Tom Latham 39(44)

11:34 (IST)19 OCT 2017

Ross Taylor has turned the match on its head and is going all guns blazing at the moment. He looks to be at his vintage best with nine fours and one huge six to his name. Dhawal Kulkarni has had a poor outing so far, conceding 49 runs in the six overs he has bowled. Meanwhile, captain Shreyas Iyer was smashed for 14 runs in his very first over.

They will probably look to get Karn Sharma back into the attack soon and hope for him to get another vital breakthrough.

10:41 (IST)19 OCT 2017

At the end of 15 overs: New Zealand - 69/2

10:22 (IST)19 OCT 2017

After getting off to a good start, the Indian bowlers struck at the right time. First, it was Jaydev Unadkat who got the wicket of Colin Munro. Shortly after that, in his very first over, Karn Sharma got the big wicket of captain Kane Williamson, who departed after scoring just 1 run. Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill are at the crease now.

Shahbaz Nadeem, who is playing his first match of the series, is bowling from the other end in tandem with Sharma.

Pitch and weather conditions:

The pitch is expected to be batting friendly. If the first match was any indication, then both sides should be able to pile on the runs. On the weather front, it is expected to be mostly sunny and pleasant with no rainfall forecasted for tomorrow.

00:12 (IST)19 OCT 2017

Pacers Adam Milne, Tim Southee and Boult have to adjust to the conditions, especially the humidity in the sub-continent. Spinners Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santner will also look to settle down quickly.

00:12 (IST)19 OCT 2017

NZ: New Zealand have a lot to work on before the ODI series starts, especially in the batting department. Martin Guptill’s failure would be a cause for concern. Should he manage to get some runs under his belt, it will boost his confidence ahead of the ODI series. Colin Munro will have to play his natural game and not curb his instincts. Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor, of course, will have to take responsibility in the middle order.
