UPDATE : The match has been called off citing unplayable conditions.

The pitch is almost water logged and as per FIFA Rules and Regulations, if the ball is not rolling on the ground, the game is liable to be abandoned.

Calcutta Football League Defending Champions East Bengal would look to begin their title defence on a high as they go locking horns with their South City counterparts Tollygunge Agragami.

The game is all set to be a historic one as it would be the first ever official game to be played under the floodlights at the East Bengal Ground.

East Bengal is expected to field an All India Line Up with Mahmoud Al-Amna starting from the bench. The game can also see expected debuts for newcomers like Rakshit Dagar and Bali Gagandeep Singh. Youngsters like Bidyasagar Singh and Sanchayan Sammadar would also look to make their mark.

Tollygunge Agragami on the contrary, would look to spoil the party for the Red and Golds under veteran footballer Manoranjan Bhattacharya. With quite a good number of experienced names in their ranks, a draw looks likely to some extent.
