The Mohun Bagan Ground is fillled to the brim today.

Mohun Bagan would look to begin their season on a positive note with a win over Pathachakra FC in their opening game of the Calcutta Football League 2018.

The Mariners, under Shankarlal Chakrabarty for the fourth straight year in the City League has notched up some impressive names in veteran Mehtab Hossain, Henry Kisekka and Sukhdev Singh.

However, Shankarlal Chakrabarty is skeptic about Sukhdev Singh's debut for Mohun Bagan after the Mariners got caught up with a contract dispute with Minerva Punjab and East Bengal. Dipanda Dicka, despite being in Kolkata is not match fit yet and is expected to give the opening game a miss.

On the contrary, Pathachakra would be looking to break the hearts of the Home Crowd as they have brought in few prominent foreign names to their ranks.

Victor Kamhuka, Anto Pejic and Futa Nakamura are all expected to play their part in the game after coach Remco Boere gave the green signal to the Media yesterday.

Youngsters like Tirthankar Sarkar and Monotosh Chakladar would be the ones to look for from both the sides. The game kicks-off at 4:30 PM IST at the Mohun Bagan Ground.
