That brings to an end a satisfactory day's work for Conte and his men. There were plenty of positives for Chelsea to take from this match. Cuadrado, Hazard, Oscar and Batshuayi all looked bright after coming on while N'golo Kante proved as reliable as ever in his first match for Chelsea.

Chelsea and AC Milan have played out an entertaining half of football and one can only hope that the inevitable raft of substitutions in the second half do not disrupt the flow of this game.
