After Mohun Bagan dropping points at Bengaluru FC at the Kanteerava Stadium yesterday, the other team from Kolkata, East Bengal, travel to Chennai in hopes of regaining their spot at the top of the I-League table. East Bengal are currently on 27 points and a win will take them to 30 points, same as Aizawl FC, and they will be higher on goal difference. Chennai City, on the other hand, are languishing at the bottom of the points table with 10 points and a heavy defeat today could see them drop down to the last position.

East Bengal were sitting pretty at the top of the table but two losses in their last four matches have pushed them back, giving chance to Aizawl and Mohun Bagan to catch up. They lost to Churchill Brothers in their last game. James Trevor Morgan's men will be missing the services of Wedson Anselme and Cavin Lobo today. The onus to get the goals will lie on the in-form duo of Robin Singh and Chris Payne, who are likely to start for the away side.
