India's Rakesh Patra failed to finish in a medal position

The 27-year-old Scot finishes his display on the rings with a cumulative score of 13.233, enough to get him the penultimate spot in the final table.

Scotland's Daniel Purvis, who is the last contestant in the fray is up next

The only other Canadian in the fray, Rene Cournoyer dishes out a score of 13.900, narrowly missing out on the third spot occupied by his fellow countryman, Scott Morgan with 14.000 points.

Cyprus's Marios Georgiou climbs to the fourth spot with an effort of 13.766. Displaces Kiwi gymnast Devy Dyson to fifth in the process.

Canada's Scott Morgan returns with rich hauls with a measured effort on the ring to collect 14.000 points. He presently stands at the third spot

The 22-year-old puts up an exemplary display on the rings to finish with a total score of 14.400.
The top two spots are currently occupied by the English athletes, Tulloch at the summit followed by Wilson in the second position.

Next up is yet another English, Nile Wilson

The 26-year-old Odisha born gymnast failed to surpass the scores set by the previous two athletes. Patra registered a D-Score of 5.900 and an E-score 7.033 to finish with a cumulative total of 12.933

Here comes the only Indian in the fray, Rakesh Patra

Dyson could garner a total cumulative score of 13.533

Next up is New Zealand gymnast Devy Dyson

Tulloch has an impressive outing registering a D-Score of 6.400 and an E-score of 8.433. The 22-year-old English finish his attempt with a total score of 14.833

England's Courtney Tulloch is the first in the fray to get on the rings.

The Men's Rings final will be underway shortly. All 8 finalists look upbeat as they aim to return with an accolade for their respective country.

Day 4 is off to a positive start for India with Punam Yadav winning a gold in Weightlifting & Mery Kom securing a Bronze for herself in Boxing. India also beat the strong England team in women's hockey 2-1 coming back from 1 goal behind. The Women's 10m Air Pistol participants, India's Manu Bhaker & Heena Sidhu bagging a Gold medal and Silver medal respectively. The Indian Women's Table Tennis contingent also doing well defeating England 3-0 and moving on to the Gold medal match where they will be facing Singapore later in the day.

In Gymnastics, Rakesh Patra will represent India in the event of Men's Rings Finals. The Odisha born Gymnast represented India at the 2014 Glasgow Games as well. The 26-year-old decided to take up Gymnastics being inspired by his uncle Ashok Kumar Misha is a former international gymnast.

Rakesh will be up against Courtney Tulloch of England, Devy Dyson of New Zealand, Nile Wilson of England, Scott Morgan of Canada, Marios Georgiou of Cyprus, Rene Cournoyer of Canada, and Daniel Purvis of Scotland.
