And that means,

India's Anas, Jamaica's McDonald and Botswana's Thebe have qualified for the semi-finals with 45.96, 45.99 and 46.17 respectively.

With that timing, where exactly does Anas stand among all the semi-finalists will be known once all the heats are completed later in the day.

Day 4 is off to a positive start for India with Punam Yadav winning a gold in Weightlifting & Mery Kom securing a Bronze for herself in Boxing. India also beat the strong England team in women's hockey 2-1 coming back from 1 goal behind. The Women's 10m Air Pistol participants, India's Manu Bhaker & Heena Sidhu bagging a Gold medal and Silver medal respectively. The Indian Women's Table Tennis contingent also doing well defeating England 3-0 and moving on to the Gold medal match where they will be facing Singapore later in the day.

Day 4 brings Athletics to the roster for the first time. First up, is Men's 400m Round 1 in which India will be represented by Muhammed Anas Yahiya. Yahiya will be in Heat 4 of the event. The 23-year-old sprinter broke the national record for 400m in 2016, qualifying for the Rio Olympics in the process.

The Indian Muhammed Anas Yahiya will be up against Alexandar Lerionka Sampao of Kenya, Lalonde Gordon of Trinidad & Tobago, Samela Railoa of Fiji, Baloloki Thebe of Botswana, Rusheen Mcdonald of Jamaica, and Leonard Opiny of Uganda.
