Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of Badminton Women's Singles Round of 32. Stay tuned for updates!

10:51 (IST)11 APR 2018

As Day 7 of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games progresses, India will be looking to continue what has been a good run in the competition so far. Next event is Badminton Women's Singles Round of 32.

India will be represented by PV Sindhu who will be taking on Andra Whiteside of Fiji in her first match.

PV Sindhu did not play a single match for India in the Mixed Team event. She will be going all guns blazing in the Women's Singles Round of 32 now. PV Sindhu is the Bronze medalist from the Commonwealth Games 2014 held in Glasgow. She won the medal in the same event and she will be looking to improve and win a gold medal this time around.

PV Sindhu's greatest feat yet is winning the Silver medal in the Rio de Janerio Olympic Games held in 2016.

Day 6 did not bring too many medals for India. However, it did bring progression as many Indian athletes find themselves in potential medal positions. Heena Sidhu claimed the only gold for India on Day 6 in the Women's 25m Pistol. The Indian Men's & Women's Hockey team both qualified for the Semifinals.

India will be hoping Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games 2018 is just as successful as the previous days.
