Hussamuddin Mohammed won his first bout in the Men's 56kg Round of 16 against Boe Warawara of Vanuatu with a unanimous decision of 5-0.
Hussamuddin Mohammed takes on Mulenga of Zambia in the quarterfinals of Men's 56 Kg weight category. A win for any of the two Boxers would guarantee a medal. Mohammed will be in the blue corner for this match.
Day 6 of the Commonwealth Games progresses with hopes of winning many more medals just as they did yesterday. In shooting, India's Gagan Narang & Chain Singh qualified for the finals of the 50m Rifle Prone Men's but Gagan Narang finished 7th & Chain Singh finished 4th in the Final. Annu Singh and Heena Sidhu followed suit and reached the Finals of Women's 25m Pistol Finals with Heena Sindhu winning gold. This was India's first gold of the day. Meanwhile, the Indian Men's Hockey team confirmed their spot in the Semifinals beating Malaysia in the morning and reaching the top of the table with 7 points. The Indians have also done well in Squash and Badminton.
