Boxing has been India's most promising sports in terms of medal count. Boxers Have been making the nation proud for a long time. At the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games as well, most of the boxers have progressed further into the competition, hoping to win a medal in their respective weight categories.

Vikas Krishan will be a part of the action on Day 4 in the Men's 75 Kg weight category as he takes on Campbell Somerville of Australia.

The boxer from Haryana was given the Arjuna award in 2012 and women the best boxer award in 2010.

He took part in the 2016 Rio Olympics but was eliminated in the Quartefinals stage.

Vikas will be looking to continue a fine run be Indian boxers so far in the competition by progressing into the Quarterfinals.
