Day 4 is off to a positive start for India with Punam Yadav winning a gold in Weightlifting & Mery Kom securing a Bronze for herself in Boxing. India also beat the strong England team in women's hockey 2-1 coming back from 1 goal behind. The Women's 10m Air Pistol participants, India's Manu Bhaker & Heena Sidhu bagging a Gold medal and Silver medal respectively.The Indian Women's Table Tennis contingent also doing well defeating England 3-0 earlier in the day and moving on to the Gold medal match where they will be facing Singapore. India's Vikas Thakur also made India proud winning a bronze medal in the Men's 94kg category in Weightlifting.

India's Lovlina will be taking on Sandy Ryan in the ring in the 3rd Quarterfinal. The first 2 quarterfinals have ended with Magan Maka of Tonga losing the bout to Rosie Eccles of Wales in the first quarterfinal & Australia's Kaye Scott emerging victorious against Nigeria's Itunu Oriola in the second quarterfinal.

The Women's welterweight boxer is merely 20 years old. This will be the biggest platform for the youngster and she will be looking to make the most of this opportunity.
