Day 4 brings to us the sporting event of shooting for the first time. India has sent a strong contingent to the Gold Coast and is fully expected to challenge for a lot of medals. The fourth Day at CWG brings four events. Three of those- Women's 10m Air Pistol, Women's Skeet, and Men's 10m Air Rifle will be decided on Day 4 itself. Skeet is an event in which clay targets are thrown mechanically in the air from two fixed stations, which the shooters then try to shoot down. This will be the qualification heat 1 for the skeet event. The second heat will take place on the 9th of April, the same day as the finals. India will be represented in Men's Skeet by Smit Singh and Sheer Sheikh. Smit Singh is the record holder in Indian Skeeting, which he achieved at the ISSF World Cup. Both he and Sheeraz Sheikh will be looking to qualify for the finals which will take place on Day 5.
