Hello, and welcome to our live coverage of the Women's skeet qualification event at he Commonwealth Games. India's Saniya Sheikh and Maheshwari Chauhan are set to take part in this event. There are a total of 11 shooters, out of whom only 6 will qualify!

Day 4 brings to us the sporting event of shooting for the first time. India has sent a strong contingent to the Gold Coast and is fully expected to challenge for a lot of medals. The fourth Day at CWG brings four events. Three of those- Women's 10m Air Pistol, Women's Skeet, and Men's 10m Air Rifle will be decided on Day 4 itself. Skeet is an event in which clay targets are thrown mechanically in the air from two fixed stations, which the shooters then try to shoot down. India will be represented in Women's Skeet by Saniya Sheikh and Maheshwari Chauhan. Sheikh, a UP born shooter has taken part in Moscow World Championships in 2017. Right-handed shooter Maheshwari Chauhan was at the Moscow Championships as well.
