Day 6 did not bring too many medals for India. However, it did bring progression as many Indian athletes find themselves in potential medal positions.

India's Gagan Narang & Chain Singh qualified for the finals of the 50m Rifle Prone Men's Qualification. However, they couldn't win any medals in the Finals of the event. Annu Singh and Heena Sidhu followed suit and reached the Finals of Women's 25m Pistol, where Heena Sidhu claimed Gold. This was the only gold medal for India on the Day 6 of the Commonwealth Games 2018.

Meanwhile, the Indian Men's Hockey team confirmed their spot in the Semifinals beating Malaysia in their pool & reaching the top of the table with 7 points. Indian Women's Hockey Team also won beating the Women's Hockey team from South Africa 1-0.

Sachin Chaudhary won many Indian hearts by winning the Bronze medal in Para Powerlifting.

Five Indian boxers were on display on Day 6 in Boxing Quarterfinals and all five of them booked their place in the Semis in their respective weight category.

India will be hoping Day 7 is just as successful as the previous game days.
