That's all from the mat now as Sumit will have one bout left against Nigeria's Sinivle Boltic to finish his nordic rounds and claim the gold medal irrespective of the result.

Time runs out as Sumit wins the bout and effectively the Gold Medal in the Men's Freestyle 125kg category with one bout left.

Sumit gets the waist control on Raza and scores two points to make it 10-4 in the bout. Less than a minute to go now

Sumit forces Raza out of bounds with a takedown and adds another two

Sumit shows incredible balance on leg to keep Raza's single leg takedown attempts and finally manages to take his back and score two points.

Sumit does well to defend against Raza's attempts at taking him down.

Sumit comes back into the match and scores two points with a takedown to make it all square in the match.

Sumit tries to take back control after a takedown but the Pakistani forces him out of bounds. The umpires are reviewing the play.

Raza does well with a single leg takedown and scores two points.

Sumit wins his Nordic system match and will take on Pakistan's Tayab Raza in his next bout.

Sumit lands a takedown and scores two points to take the lead in the match. He rolls Jarvis and scores a further two points. Great comeback from the Indian in the end.

Sumit keeps trying to take Jarvis down but the Canadian has done well to defend so far.

Sumit does well to foil a takedown attempt and turns it to take back control for the 2 points.

Last two minutes and Sumit steps up his attacks now but Jarvis is doing well to keep him in check.

The umpires award it to Jarvis as Sumit's leg had gone out and Jarvis is awarded another point.

Jarvis goes for a single leg takedown and drags Sumit out of bounds to score hi second point. Sumit did well to defend the takedown but went out of the boundary but has challenged the decision for a review.

Jarvis is the aggressor in the match as Sumit foils his takedown attempts with good defence.

Round 2 is underway as Sumit trails by one.

We are approaching the end of Round 1 as none of the wrestlers have been able to take each other down.

Jarvis scores a technical point after Sumit's 30-sec timeout was over without scoring a point.

Sumit does well to defend against the takedown attempts by Jarvis as the two men have kept it standing for the first minute.

The penultimate day of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games gets underway with a lot of athletes playing in their Semifinals and Finals. With India already crossing their Gold medal tally of the 2014 Glasgow games, fans can certainly be excited heading into the final two days of the Games.

Medals won on Day 9: Day 9 started off on a positive note with Tejaswini Sawant winning a gold medal & Anjum Moudgil winning a silver medal in Shooting Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions Finals. Young gun Anish Bhanwala, only 15-years-old won the gold medal in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men's Finals. Indian shooters continue to delight and win medals.

Bajrang of India also bagged a gold medal in Wrestling 65kg Freestyle category taking India's gold medal tally to 17! Divya Kakran also got home a Bronze medal for India in Wrestling defeating Sherin Sultana of Bangladesh.

India will be looking to finish the tournament on a high with many more medals as the drama continues with India playing a lot of Finals and Semifinals on the last 2 days.
