After having won her first round bout, Kiran is all set for the semifinal against Blessing Onyebuchi of Nigeria.

Heading into Day 8, India will be looking to continue a good medal run in the competition so far.

Om Mitharwal and Shreyasi Singh brought medals for India on the 7th day of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

On Day 7, there was a lot of progress in the Boxing event. Manish Kaushik, Vikas Krishan, and Gaurav Solanki went through to the Semifinals.
The three qualifications mean that all Indian Male boxers have made it through to the Semifinals of their respective weight categories. Legendary Mary Kom did one better and progressed to the Finals in the 45-48 Kg weight category. Sarita Devi and Pinki could not repeat the same feat, however, and were knocked out in the quarterfinals.

Day 7 brought individual Badminton and Table Tennis events. Sindhu, Saina, and Srikanth were all in action in their singles matches.

Indian Men's Hockey team staged a great comeback from 3-2 down to win 4-3 in the final minutes of the match, confirming their spot in the semifinals.
