FINAL UPDATE: The match has been called off.

It's not looking good at all at the moment - the clouds are swimming over the ground, but a major part of the ground is now covered.

The latest they can start, for a five-over game, is 4:44 pm.

The rain is playing hide and seek here - it's clearly not helping the groundsmen, who are doing all that they can to dry the outfield.

And, here comes the rain again. It's not pouring down, it's a slight drizzle and the pitch is being covered real quick.

The captains, Vinay Kumar and CM Gautam, can be seen talking to the officials.

We're closing in on the second inspection - it's around 10 minutes away, but patches of the ground have been covered with huge mats.

The umpires walk off, unimpressed with the outfield at the moment.

Wet outfield resulted in last night's game, between the Bijapur Bulls and the Belagavi Panthers, to be called off. Everything seemed fine until a couple of hours back, when it poured heavily.

The umpires and match officials are surveying the sides of the ground, making sure that the playing area is devoid of any wet patches.

The sun is baking the pitch again, it's real bright here in Hubli and the rain, along with the crowds, has disappeared again.

This is definitely going to take some time.

And, just minutes before the inspection, there's more rain - a light drizzle has come streaming in.

Dean Jones is gingerly walking around along with a few Tuskers players to assess the ground.

The main pitch has been laid bare to dry, but the outfield is a bit of an issue.

This is Aadya Sharma, reporting from the stadium in Hubli. The skies are absolutely clear, the sun is beating down, but the outfield is still damp. The staff is removing the covers at the moment.

Though the weather looks clear, the start of the match has been delayed due to wet outfield. Umpires are out in the middle and soppers are doing their work.
