David Warner brings up Ashes no show again

Australia’s Vice Captain, David Warner has backed himself with respect to his statement regarding the ‘pay dispute’ and playing the Ashes. Must the ongoing pay dispute prolong into the six months beyond the expiration (30th June) of the MOU between Cricket Australia (CA) and Australian Cricket Association (ACA), the players are prepared to miss out on playing the Ashes this summer.

The 30-year-old hopes the issue is resolved by the 1st July as the matter is in the capable hands of the ACA and it is their responsibility to come to an agreement with CA. He further went on to make it crystal clear that irrespective of the criticism and opinions about him in the past or what will be written now, he will not take notice of that and will provide 100% support to all the members of the team and the ACA.

"I stick firm behind it," Warner said. "If we are unemployed we have no contracts, we can't play. So, from my point of view and speaking to the guys, we would love to see something happen between now and July 1 and I am sure that it is in the capable hands of the ACA to get to the table with CA and come to some form of an agreement."
