India begins their quest for gold in the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games with a game of Lawn Bowls. Lawn Bowls or Bowls is an event which is like curling in nature, i.e., the players have to roll biased balls so as to make them carefully stop near the target.

Usually played on a rectangular field with levelled grass and a player has to reach a specific target (21) in singles. In a team scenario-pairs, triples or fours, the team with a higher score at the end of the match wins.

In their first match, Indian men’s triples team face off against Wales. The match will be decided by which teams holds the highest score at the end. India will face Wales in the early morning match before playing Papua New Guinea.
