A couple of tweets before we wrap this up.

STAT: So in three meetings in World Cups, England are yet to win against USA.

FULL-TIME! England 0 USA 0. The second half was a painful watch as both sides did not create enough to warrant a win. Pulisic hit the crossbar in the first half and Kane headed wide in the 2nd which were the closest either side came to scoring a goal. England miss out on securing qualification and will now to have wait for their last game against Wales.

Big chance for Harry Kane off a free-kick but he heads it wide. Had the power but not the direction. If it was on target, Matt Turner was not saving that.

We will have four added minutes.

STAT courtesy BBC: No player has had more headed clearances in a 2022 World Cup match so far than England's Harry Maguire today (6 so far).

Lovely touch from Sterling to Mason Mount who fires a low drive but Matt Turner gets down and pushes it away. First good chance England have had in a while.

It's all USA now. First Dest is blocked by Maguire and then Pulisic shoulders a header wide. Had he got it on his head, would've tested Pickford for sure.

PULISIC hits the crossbar! With nothing to work in front of him and with defenders crowding him, Pulisic lashes a rasping drive with his left-foot that rattles the crossbar. That was some strike and so unlucky. Pickford had no chance.

Yunus Musah now drives a shot from outside the box but it's deflected off an England body and an easy catch for Pickford.

Good chance for Weston McKennie as it falls to him on the half-volley but he is leaning back and swipes it over the crossbar. He was unmarked as well.

England threaten again but at the other end Haji Wright gets his header wide of the far-post. First real chance USA have had.

What a chance for Harry Kane but sensational block from Walker Zimmerman to turn it away for a corner. Bellingham feeds Saka on the right who crosses to Kane who sweeps but Zimmerman gets in the way.

USA have plenty of talented players in their ranks. In fact, this is certainly one of their strongest ever sides.

Gregg Berhalter's men will not go down without a fight and will be confident of asking England questions, considering they play to their full potential.

There were some doubts over whether Harry Kane will be deemed fit to start against USA. But if sources are to be believed, the England captain will return to lead his team.

Gareth Southgate may opt against making wholesale changes to the side that beat Iran. As the popular saying goes, there's no need to fix something which isn't broken.
