These two teams maybe out, but they have given us an absolute classic! Sahil Tavora stepped up at the end to give his home-team a big win, a win that Zico had called for "to send the fans home happy". In a see-sawing game, Chennaiyin took the lead thrice, Goa pegged them back three times. Rafael Coelho gave them the lead with a really good counter-attacking goal. A moment of madness from Raju Gaikwad looked to have given Chennaiyin a point, but step forward, Tavora! A stunning, stunning strike from the 21-year old.
A good night for the Indian youngsters. Jerry Lalrinzuala, Anirudh Thapa and Daniel Lalhlimpuia did their reputations no harm with very good performances all game, but the limelight was stolen away from them at the death by Tavora! Zico gets the win he so badly wanted. Materazzi will be nursing his wounds. Goa's first win against Chennaiyin at home.
