51 - Chance! Rohidas plays in a cross, which ends up with Gurjant, who turns and shoots on the reverse, but the Argentine keeper palms it away to safety.

50 - India soar down the left flank, as Chinglensana passes to Akasdeep dribbles past two defenders and pulls the trigger, but it is saved.

47 - Manpreet plays it to Sunil, who plays a brilliant pass to Chinglensana inside the circle, but he goes down under some pressure. The umpire waves play on, but India review the decision. However, the decision is not reversed, and India lose their review.

46 - The fourth quarter starts in a similar manner, as Argentina keep possession of the ball, while the Indians chase shadows in the rain.

32 - Harmanpreet catches a stick on the knee, as the umpire immediately stops play, while Harmanpreet hobbles around in pain. However, he gingerly carries on.

31 - Welcome back for the second half, as India bring on Suraj Karkera in goal, instead of Akash Chikte.

Half Time! With that, we come to the end of the first half, as Argentina go into the break with a 1-0 lead. They have dominated the proceedings, hogging possession of the ball, while India have tried to play on the counter. However, India's swift counter-attacks seem to have been foiled by different puddles in the middle of the pitch, which have slowed the pace of their passes down, and have allowed Argentina to get back on the ball.

30 - Akashdeep breaks down the left, and plays in across, as the referee blows for an Argentina foul. However, there's not enough time for them to take that, as the half time hooter goes off.

29 - Argentina seem to be playing for the half time hooter, as they pass it around the back.

27 - Varun breaks at speed down the right, but again, his pass to Akashdeep gets stuck in a puddle, which foils the attack.

24 - Chinglensana tries to play it out to Mandeep on the left, but the ball gets caught on the puddle, and the pass is easily intercepted. This is turning out to be a rather frustrating affair for India.

21 - Manpreet lunges forward and puts in a tackle, that looked clean on the first go. However, the Umpire awards a free hit to Argentina, and gives Manpreet a yellow card. India are down to 10 men for the next 10 minutes.

20 - India are under pressure from Argentina here, but Harmanpreet does brilliantly to play a long ball out to Manpreet. However, he is soon stopped in his track and Argentina get back on the ball.

End of Q1! Its been a slow start to the semifinal here. The pitch has been rather heavy due to the rain, and both the sides have failed to play their natural game here. Let's see what Q2 has in store for us.

The Indian men's hockey team takes on reigning Olympic champions Argentina in what promises to be a real thriller in the semifinals of the FIH Hockey World League Final 2017. After a winless run in the group stages, the Indian side dug deep and recorded an absorbing victory over Pool A toppers Belgium on Wednesday and as a result, set up the semis match up with the Argentinians.

The two teams had met at last year's Rio Olympics as well, with the India team recording a narrow 2-1 win. Sjoerd Marijne's side will be looking for the same result at the Kalinga Stadium in Odisha as well, as they look to seal their berth in the finals.

India drew their opening match of the tournament against the mighty Australians but in the next two games, they were put to the sword by England, who won 3-2 with a goal in the dying minutes, and Germany, who recorded a comfortable 2-0 win. However, the Indian side picked itself up in the kncockout game against Belgium, which they won in a nerve-wracking shootout that went to sudden death.
