66' SUPERB PLAY FROM MORATA! The Spanish striker runs onto a through ball from Isco, getting to it ahead of Tyton and rounding the keeper. He takes a touch, and unselfishly plays it across goal to James, allowing the Colombian to stroke the ball into the net and finish Deportivo's hopes in this game. Deportivo 1-4 Real Madrid

63' CHANCE! Andone gets a header on goal from a left-wing cross, but Casilla positions himself well to collect the looping header.

61' OOOOF! Morata tries to curl a low drive past Tyton with the instep of his foot. Isco sidesteps the ball in an offside position, and blocks Tyton's view of the ball, but the Depor keeper gets down well to make a save and concede a corner. Varane rises high from the set piece, and heads the ball wide of the post.

59' HOW DID HE MISS?!!! Marco Asensio with a stunning run through the middle, skipping past three defenders before spreading it out to Vazquez in acres of space on the right. The Madrid winger has the goal at his mercy, but his first-time effort trickles wide!

57' Carles Gil is replaced by Joselu for Deportivo

56' How Luisinho still remains without a yellow card is a mystery to me. His latest error is a trip on Isco from behind, but the referee seem blind to it. Karma strikes for Deportivo though, as Carles Gil is down with an injury and cannot continue.

54' All I can hear is Pepe Mel's violently loud screams on the touchlines. My Spanish isn't the greatest, but I can guess that he's shouting RUN BACK AND DEFEND YOU IDIOTS to his wingers as they lose the ball in Madrid's half.

51' The Riazor is still singing out loud, but there's precious little happening at the moment, as it is Deportivo's turn to pass the ball around at the back.

48' Real Madrid have opted for a sedate start to the second half, easily passing the ball around Deportivo's midfield. This seems like the ideal way to kill this game - they only have to see out another 42 minutes and stay ahead in the Liga title race.

46' AND WE'RE UNDERWAY! Deportivo kick things off in the second half, kicking off from left to right!

HT: Kakuta has been replaced Navarro. A defensive change from Pepe Mel, with Luisinho now pushing forward on the left. Tyton also replaces Lux in goal - a curious change - doesn't seem to be an injury.

The teams are back out of the tunnel for the second 45. Kickoff is up next!

It'll be interesting to see if Zinedine Zidane opts for a more defensive setup in the second half - Real Madrid have allowed Deportivo back into this game, and will be disappointed with their defending.

44' WHAT A RELIEF FOR REAL MADRID! Isco does superbly to hold the ball up and spread it wide to Marcelo on the left. The Brazilian sends a perfect low cross into the box, with Sidnei getting a touch that falls right at Vazquez' feet. He takes a touch and shoots under Lux to restore Madrid's two goal lead. Deportivo 1-3 Real Madrid!

42' Here's something that should clue you in on the spectacle - Madrid and Deportivo both have a pass accuracy of 69%. Madrid will have that reduce further, as Varane concedes a corner while clearing a cross from the right.

Deportivo take it short, but James and Isco do well to block. Moments later, Depor nearly score, as Casilla fumbles a cross from the right straight onto Sidnei's head, and the ball trickles agonisingly wide of the near post.

40' Luisinho is extremely lucky to escape a yellow card as Depor attack - he clatters into the back of James. The pressure on Real Madrid is released though, which ought to work in Madrid's favour. How they have managed to let Deportivo back into this game is anyone's guess.

39' WHAT A SAVE!!! Carles Gil drives from the right side of midfield. He exchanges a 1-2 with Kakuta on the edge of the box and curls an excellent shot at the far post, only for Casilla to dive at full stretch and make a crucial save. Depor firmly on top!

37' Luisinho fouls Vazquez on Madrid's right wing, conceding a foolish foul. James steps up to take it....

CHANCE! It was a fantastic delivery from the Colombian, but Sidnei gets his head onto the ball and clears it out for Depor. The Riazor is absolutely roaring at the moment.

35' DEPORTIVO ARE BACK IN IT! Luisinho spreads the ball to Juanfran with an incredible diagonal. He puts in a great cross, which falls to Kakuta. The winger takes a shot on goal, but shanks it across goal, allowing Andone to stab home at the far post. Deportivo 1-2 Real Madrid!

32' Welp, I spoke to soon! Vazquez gets down the right yet again, and his low cross finds Morata in acres of space in the box, via James. The Spanish striker takes a touch, but Lux makes an incredible save from close range - although Morata should really have scored.

31' The game has quietened down in the last few minutes, with Real Madrid trying to conserve their energy, playing the ball at the back.

29' Pepe Mel looks downright livid on the touchline, and with good reason. Deportivo are finding it hard enough to stitch an attack together, and they continue to commit needless errors in midfield under no pressure. Bergantinos with the latest giveaway out into touch.

26' PANIC STATIONS! Luisinho sends in a low cross from the left, and Andone gets a touch to it, which falls perfectly for Kakuta. His shot at an empty goal is cleared off the line by Marcelo, but the ref had already blown for offside.

Lux then nearly concedes a foolish goal with a misplaced pass straight to James, but recovers in time to save Vazquez' effort in the box. 2-0 seems a very generous scoreline to Deportivo at the moment.

24' CHANCE! Real Madrid breathe a sigh of relief, as Guilherme sends a long range effort narrowly over the bar. He protests that the ball took a deflection of a defender, but the referee just looks stone faced.

22' SHOT! Carles Gil collects the ball in midfield and runs at the Madrid defence, and lets fly with a low drive. Kiko Casilla looks untroubled as he collects the ball at his feet.

James Rodriguez has been directly involved in more La Liga goals (52) than any other midfielder since he joined Real Madrid. 27 assists, 25 goals. Should he be starting more often?

19' OOOOF! James sells a great dummy, and Isco shoots the free-kick at the wall, which takes a deflection and goes out for a corner. Real Madrid are unable to make a clear cut chance.

18' Vazquez goes down on the edge of the box and Real Madrid have a free-kick in a promising position, with James stepping up to take it.

17' GOOOAAA..... OFFSIDE! Isco releases Marcelo on the left side, and he crosses for Morata to stab home at the near post. Replays show that Marcelo was onside, and that the goal should have stood.

14' Kovacic wins the ball back in his own half, and runs up the pitch. The ball eventually ends up with Vazquez on the right wing, and he sends in a low cross for James to stab home with the outside of his boot from a couple of yards out. Deportivo 0-2 Real Madrid!
