Well, that's that then. Real Madrid barely slipped out of neutral as early braces from James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata ensured that the League favourites still hold all the aces when it comes to the Liga title race with Barcelona. It is all still in their hands.

92' Juanan caps a very good second half Granada performance by having a pop at goal. But much like their season, it's off target. Well off target

91' TWO MINUTES ADDED ON! Benzema mows through the centre before smashing a toe-punt that Ochoa does well to save. I wager there will be quite a lot of suitors for the impressive Mexican custodian.

90' Mariano turns Silva inside and out, but Ingalson has his mate's back and covers behind to recover possession. He plays the ball out to Juanan whose teasing cross is well collected by Casilla - it missed Ramos' leaping noggin' by inches!

89' The young man's (Juanan's) hunger and drive begs the question - why the hell didn't he start? Adams should surely stick to playing as many Granada full-timers as possible!

87' Juanan again! He runs straight through the middle of Madrid's defence, but doesn't have it in him to outmuscle Nacho and Sergio Ramos. Very few people on Earth would have enough outmuscle them, so no shame in that.

86' The corner comes to nothing, but Juanan does well to win their second in quick succession. The setpiece is headed out but only as far as Uche, who tries to dink one behind Coentrao, but the Portuguese gets his noggin to it!

85' Mariano tries to muscle his way through the entire Granada defence but Angban is not having any of that. Granada move forward and Ramos has another good shot at goal! Nacho's block makes sure it's only a corner, though.

84' Juanan has looked lively - but his overly ambitious hammer shot from an acute angle on the left finds nothing but the outside of Madrid's goal.

82' OH BENZEMA! Mariano plays in the Frenchman who has drifted free on the left of the box -he tries to curl into the far post-Henry style- but it flies wide. Very good chance, that.

80' Another Granada chance as Juanan smashes an Adrian Ramos cutback straight at Nacho... from the corner Adrian Ramos has a pop at goal that FINALLY draws a decent save off Casilla! His effort on the rebound trickles out of play.

79' Juanan is on for Andreas Perreira... Isco then heads one to Benzema who heads it hopelessly wide, but his blushes are saved as the Spaniard is pulled up for offside.

78' Isco's corner just about evades everyone in the box and Granada counter at rare pace. Adrian Ramos takes too much time on the ball, and takes one touch too many inside the Madrid box! Nacho's tackle only sees the ball squeeze out to Foulquier but his first time side-footer goes well over Casilla's crossbar. Their best chance of the match!

77' The 17th foul of the game sees Silva pull down Mariano - and James swings the resultant freekick in dangerously. Ingalson does well to ensure it's just a corner.

76' Vazquez is taken off in favour of another colt - Mariano Diaz. James is then bullied (illegally) by Uche - it's just the 16th foul of the game. Kudos to Granada's men for NOT taking their frustration out in the Tony Pulis style

75' That's a measure of how much they've improved in the second half. And how casually Real Madrid have taken this - Zidane wont be entirely pleased with that. Adrian Ramos shows some much appreciated fight by trying to bully his namesake off the ball, but the wily ol' Spaniard ends that nonsense by winning a freekick.

74' OOOOO! GRANADA CHANCE! ANGBAN TWISTS AND TURNS PAST COENTRAO AND FLASHES ONE SQUARE THAT JUST MISSES THE FLYING BOOT OF ADRIAN RAMOS!

73' Angban has been Granada's best player by some distance, but he's let his frustration get the better of him as he smashes into Kovacic near the Madrid box after another move breaks down with all too casual an ease.

71' OH MY! HOW DID HE MISS THAT! Alvaro Morata is found in the box after some neat work from James and Benzema, but he smashes a presentable chance for a hattrick handsomely high. Has he learned nothing about seizing the moment from Cristiano Ronaldo?

70' Angban and Cuenca split open Real Madrid - no, they really do - but the latter's pass to Adrian Ramos is well cut out by Nacho. The home side play the corner shot before Silva has a pop from waaaay out - it's all just too easy for Kiko Casilla!

67' HAHA! OH MY! I cannot help but laugh/cry. Casemiro gets hooked for... wait, for it ISCO! It's DISCO time Andalusia!

66' Benzema gets a bit selfish and eschews the more sensible options of passing it to either Vazquez or Morata by opting to try andd beat one more defender to get himself into a shooting position, but Ingalson is having a much better second half than he did a first and he gets the tackle in.

65' The corner comes to nothing but James swings it back into the far post where Coentrao cushions it onto the path of Ramos. The captain is five yards out, unmarked, and somehow manages to sidefoot it out! WHAT A MISS!

64' OW! Lucas Vazquez runs through the centre and it looks like his touch has taken him too far out but he extricates himself by smashing a toe-punt at goal that Ochoa does well to save.

63' RAMOS HEADER! It's from a corner which was won after more good work by Benzema, but it's straight at Ochoa. The inspiration captain trots back berating himself.

62' OH DANILO HITS THE POST! Benzema created the whole thing by running through the Granada midfield whilst simultaneously splitting it into two like new-gen Moses before feeding Vazquez. The Spaniard's cutback was well kept off the toes of Morata by Ingason... and Danilo proceeded to smash the loose ball out off the post

61' Granada are seriously more impressive going forward now, though. Cuenca turns Danilo inside and out, but his jink into the box is straight at Casilla.

59' Kovacic waltzes through the middle of the park, but his ping into the box is just behind Vazquez. Lomban does the first thing I think's he done all match by fouling Casemiro and gifting possession back to Madrid.

58' Cuenca and Angban try to do something or the other to make Casilla at least dive around a bit but Nacho is having none of that. He moves the ball back up the field and Vazquez ends up smashing the ball into the side netting. The relatively unimpressive Asensio has been hooked in favour of the French galactico

57' Ouch. The commentator has just taken a pot-shot at Granada, a goof one at that, by saying that Madrid might as well take of Casilla and bring on Benzema. Its funny cos its true.

56' WOW. WOW. Just when it looked like they were doing well, Karim Benzema has stripped down and will come on now. What a time to be a Granada fan.

54' James tries to play in Coentrao but the Portuguese left back's run out of room... Madrid had looked like they were taking it easy, but they have dispelled any such notion - that Ramos power-run was a much needed catalyst.

52' Asensio has just compounded a bad couple of minutes by swinging a cross from the left flank all the way to Row Z. Zidane is hollering and gesturing on the sidelines like the score is 0-0 or something. What a guy, eh. Proper legend.

51' Granada are playing some decent-ish football but Sergio Ramos powers through and past his namesake carrying the ball with a strong, bustling run. He rampages straight through before playing it out to Asensio - whose shot is saved well by Ochoa, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. The young lad had wandered offside. Careless.

50' OOOO! The relatively impressive Angban tries to slide rule one into the path of Isaac Cuenca, but it's got just a bit too much oomph. Much better football from Granada.

49' Five seconds after the corner was taken. the ball is at Ochoa's feet. Tells you all you need to know.

48' Vazquez teases Silva before playing it straight to Ingason. Granada move forward with glacial urgency but Adrian Ramos tries to pull a fast one by ghosting past Nacho and smashing one at Casilla - but Coentrao gets in his way and that's a corner.

46' Real Madrid stroke the ball around in that patient manner of theirs before Nacho pings a Bonucci-esque ball to Asensio who kills it dead with a lovely touch. He lays it off to Kovacic and the Croatian tries to dance through the rather fragile Granada defence, but Angban says not so fast!

My colleague Arvind Sriram has just walked into the room and with a sad shake of his head pronounced that Granada will be murdered 10-0 by the end of all this chutzpah. The most ridiculous thing? He may well be correct.

Casemiro misses an open goal from around five yards out - but it doesn't really matter in the larger scheme of things, does it? This is a walk in the park for the Madrid giants

44' Cuenca and Perreira are trying to inject some measure of creativity into this depressing performance, but Cuenca's latest pop at goal squirms off Ramos' legs and balloons comfortably into Casilla's hands. It's a surprise the keeper hasn't fallen asleep, he has had nothing to do all game!

43' This must be killing Tony Adams. Granada's defence collectively take a breather and watch Vazquez trot into the box, cut in and smash the ball off the crossbar. WOOF!

42' Real Madrid win the ball back, though and go on another lightning break. Asensio and Morata pull Granada's defence apart before the latter picks out James but Krhin does superbly to ensure the Colombian doesn't get a shot away

41' Kudos to these Granada fans! Their team play the ball around for a bit -in and around the Madrid third - and the crowd breaks out into song and applause.

40' Madrid are so damn organised when they do not have the ball. Superstars - or superstars-in-waiting they may be - but by Lord has Zidane instilled the fear of God in them or what? It's rare to see such discipline from Madrid when they are so comfortably ahead, but goes to show just what the French magician has bought to the table.

37' Adrian Ramos gets the ball after more 'decent' passing around but the Colombian's pot-shot from nigh on thirty yards is ridiculously off target

WOOF! WHAT A GOAL! Asensio runs forward with the ball before laying it off to Morata who sweeps past Hongla with contemptuous ease before utterly bludgeoning one into the roof of the net. Unsaveable, that.
