MASSIVE MASSIVE NEWS! IT DOESN'T GET BIGGER THAN THIS!

Lionel Andres Messi is reportedly holding talks with Barcelona President Josep Bartemeu to discuss the 'elephant in the room' - his new contract deal.

With his current deal expiring in June 2018, Barca can not risk letting the Argentine magician leaving on a free next year. There had been reports that he would be offered 40 million, but reports have emerged that it may also include a five year deal that would let Messi see out his career at the club where he started professional football!

Ronaldinho is going back to Barcelona!!

Ok, apologies for the click-baity headline - he is not going to play there, d'oh... but he is likely to represent the Catalan side as an ambassador and as a member of the club's veteran squad.

We will keep you posted on that one.

But Ronaldinho, man... that smile, those tricks, that smile, those goals... that smile!

I miss him

For those who wondering who in the blue hell Anton Donkor is, the lad is an U-20 German international (which already shows you how good he is) and can play in a variety of attacking positions across the front-line.

Even more confirmed news! I cannot stop bringing you confirmed transfer news today!

This is pretty big!

Real Madrid initially loaned out Alvaro Morata to Juventus after a rather underwhelming time with Los Blancos. He impressed at Juve, before Madrid called him back home - where he has been underwhelming again.

Logic thus dictates that he will be good for the next club he goes to - and that might just be striker hungry Arsenal! Wouldn't be a half-bad decision would it?

Southampton are in talks with Napoli to get Liverpool's new striker

Ok, sorry about the trolling, but you and I both know what will happen once Southampton and Napoli finally agree on a wage for disenchanted striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

Napoli want at least 20 million... Southampton wont spend a penny over 13 million... apparently.

Come on you Saints, you guys know Liverpool will shell out 30 mill. easy! (Remember Andy Carroll?)

13:22 (IST)25 JAN 2017

As promised, I am the bearer of confirmed news.

The next Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to be the next...erm... Lucas?

Well, Goncalo Guedes has signed for Paris Saint Germain!  This is a big blow for Mourinho's masterplan... kind of!

Here's a little light reading for you - from the ever excellent Ashwin Hanagudu... the man churns out quality pieces at the same rate of Leo Messi creating chances

Patrice Evra is on the move again!

The charismatic Frenchman is set for a series of showdown talks with Juventus after he was reportedly linked with a move back to the Premier League. Sam Allardyce's Crystal Palace are favourites to win his signature - if Evra and the Old Lady can agree on the terms of departure.

It will be fascinating to see the Frenchman back in action in England - especially when he visits his old stomping ground of Manchester United where he is still a cult hero and when he takes the trip down to Anfield - where he is round about the exact opposite.

Real Madrid news!

Florentino Perez, a known admirer of Tottenham sensation, Delle Alli is willing to do pretty much all it takes to get his hands on him. Even if this means selling the temperamental yet undoubtedly talented Isco!

Los Blancos plot Isco-Dele Alli swap deal

Arsenal is in the news!

A long-time fan of Ligue 1 marksman Alexandre Lacazette, Arsene Wenger seems to be edging ever closer to signing the Frenchman. Nothing like one French striker to replace another - is there, Arsenal fans?

Lacazette is in fine form this season having already netted 20 times in 23 games and has been the driving force behind Lyon's drive up the Ligue, where they are currently 4th - behind Monaco, Nice and giants PSG.

He would make a fine addition to Arsenal's lineup, no?

CONFIRMED TRANSFER

We don't just do rumours on this blog, we bring you the latest news too - Luis Hernandez has left beleaguered Premier League Champions Leicester City to join La Liga's professional spoil sport Carlos Kameni at Malaga CF. The 27-year old right back returns to Spain after just 7 months in the Premier League where he made just four appearances, although he did start four of their six Champions League games. Leicester had got him on free transfer from Sporting Gijon and have now sold him for around 1.75 million GBP.

MASSIVE NEWS - Diego Costa may be on his way to Barcelona!

Despite having the services of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar Jr. at his service, Luis Enrique is not as happy as he could be with his attack as per the Spanish publication Don Balon.

With Diego Costa already starting a fight he probably wont win with Antonio Conte, the Brazilian-turned Spaniard may well return to La Liga where he had excelled with Atletico Madrid. Barcelona are ready to break the bank and shell out 65 million of the good stuff to make the fighter-cum-footballer theirs.

Costa's addition to the Barca squad makes for an intriguing prospect, as it would a degree of physicality not normally associated with Barcelona and a genuinely different plan B.

Liverpool News!

The Reds' best player (by a country mile), Philippe Coutinho, is at the verge of sigining a contract extension that will keep him at the club till 2021. This after reports have emerged that Neymar has not been able to convince his dear friend to ditch Merseyside for Catalonia.

Despite Jurgen Klopp's repeated statements that the Red's are not interested in buying anyone, the Meseyside press are confident that their teams (Liverpool and Everton) are behind 19 year old Jamaican speedster Leon Bailey of Jamaica. Bayer Leverkusen are reported to be interested too, and with Bailey having been left out of Genk's squad in their last match fuel has well and truly been added to the fire

10:41 (IST)25 JAN 2017

The 'next Cristiano Ronaldo' is up for grabs!

Goncalo Guedes, Portuguese winger sensation dubbed the next Cristiano Ronaldo, has been under Manchester United's radar for quite some time now, and Jose Mourinho's appointment has just helped their interest gain momentum. However, there is some one out there who is all set to spoil the party for the Red Devils.

Cash flush Paris Saint Germain are on the hunt, with coach Unai Emery not completely happy with the state of his squad, and they have turned their attentions to Guedes.

This should make for a spectacular bidding war.

Keep an eye out for this. We may be able to confirm something about this, today itself!

Tottenham News!

"It's stupid to leave Tottenham now amidst a title race" - this is professional hair gel user and Walthamstow native, Harry Kane, being the eternal optimist as he shuts the door in the face of all the rumour mongers out there.

Meanwhile Mauricio Pochettino is not entirely happy with the state of his defence. With Jan Vertonghen out injured, he want's Internazionale's Andrea Ranocchia to come in and shore up the title challenger's backline.

Hello and welcome to our daily transfer blog... Lets start of the day with something pretty big shall we?

Ivan Rakitic wants to stay at Barcelona... forever

Ivan Rakitic has ended - sort of - speculation of him leaving Barcelona to join the likes of the two Manchester clubs by stating that he would like to play out his entire career and retire at Barcelona. Although not in the best of form this season, the Croatian midfield maestro is a class act and is a valuable member of the Barca squad.
